Golden China Restaurant — Restaurant in Strasburg

Not smart business IQ. Stayed at Fairfield Inn right next door. Fairfield provided a 10% discount coupon that was good for 5 close by restaurants. When I went to use it on my $12.35 order, the young lady said they don't honor it. Said Fairfield put them on the coupon without their permission. I told her that we had stayed at that motel before and they accepted it. She said only for eat in. We didn't eat in anyway, and I thought you just said you didn't accept it. Told this to the manager at the Fairfield, who said they have got complaints before and sometimes they accept but are inconsistent. Manager said he was going to take their name off the recommended restaurant list and encourage their guest to not patronize. So for a 10% reduction of $1.23 they will no longer get the recommendation of this very busy franchise hotel 100 yards from their front door. I have ordered delivery through Door Dash 3 times from this restaurant. Each time they have left out a whole meal. Today was the final straw. When I called they clearly knew they did not put it in the bag. I am filing a complaint through the Attorney General of Virginia. This appears to me to be a strategy on the part of Golden China owners to steal from customers--charging without providing the product. Law enforcement should actually investigate to see how many people this is happening to because it seems like I am not the only one. They should be run out of town as we do not need these unscrupulous businesses in the community. And the reviewer who found plastic in their food should have contacted the Virginia Department of Health. I will see if I can help that...

The food is freshly made. It broke my husbands ♥ when, a while ago they stopped offering Peking Duck. The closest place to us to get that item is Front Royal. Golden China's was very good! It was explained that most locals don't understand the work it takes to produce that dish ( & the expense of course)... So no Duck, outa luck. What IS offered is premo.
