EDIT: Because of snarky response. This alone I will not be coming here anymore. I was nice and honest. Every single time we come here, no matter the day or time, we are not asked for drink orders for 10 minutes. and are not served drinks for at least 20. I agree this is a small restaurant and shouldnât require more servers but whoever you have on every day does not have a good system of managing several tables. It is not normal to not be given drinks for 20 minutes. and it is not normal to wait for your check for 20+ minutes after finishing your food and to be ignored every time you need something. Every time we come here it is at least a 2 hour stay- not because we want to be there that long and are hanging out, but because the waitress gives us no choice. Either train her better or get another server.
Been here a few times. Honestly the food and atmosphere is pretty good, but they are severely understaffed. they only ever have one girl working so donât expect fast service. Also, for being hotdogs, the food takes a crazy long amount of time to come out once youâve ordered. I was hoping my first visit here was a one off, but every time since has been the same. You will be stuck here for hours trying to just order eat and go. Wish they would hire a few more servers and find a way for the kitchen to be run more...
Read moreSadly disappointing. We love a good dog, and with the recent, spectacular revitalization of Strasburg's "main street area", my fiancĂ© and I were very excited to see a new "doggery" in town. To support a local business and obtain a quality hotdog, we were willing to visit the small establishment on E. King Street, which was packed with too many tables in a tight space and crammed full of people. However, after waiting for several minutes for someone to help us and paying an outrageously overpriced $22+tax for 2 hotdogs (1 regular, 1 footlong) and 2 fries ($10.99 each dog & fries combo, drink was NOT included) - we waited over 40 minutes from start-to-finish for our to-go order. The footlong chili-dog with slaw was mediocre at best (I've had $0.99 dogs that were better), and the toasted poppy seed bun of the Chicago dog was tough and stale. Perhaps the most tragic of all, the hand cut fries were monster-sized but very VERY raw inside, though we tried to give them a chance and get a few down since they did look tastyâŠwhich only caused a belly ache afterwards. The ODD completely missed the mark in our humble,...
Read moreI went there for take out on 7-24-22 on our way back to north Jersey from Smith Mountain Lake. We were told to try the establishment by a nice woman we met at the welcome center. After looking over the menu, I ordered two hotdogs with chili, mustard, and caramelized onions. It didn't take long for the order to come out. The waitress was very polite and said thank you for the tip before I left. I got into the car and opened up the package with my wife. The dog, bun, and accouterments had some legitimate weight to them. The bun, fantastic! Not sure what they do to it other than toast it, but I need to know, it was delicious. Awesome dog, great chili and onions. The fries, not what I expected. Real potato fries with the skin on and salt. The portion was a good size for two and they were perfectly cooked. I love fries like that, they are hard to come by. The pricing was very reasonable. My only beef was that I didn't order more and I should have also tried those big onion rings I saw someone getting. Please come to Jersey and start a new branch here! I am sorry, I have no pictures to add because...
