I donât write reviews ever but I wanted to save as many of you poor souls as I can from making the biggest culinary mistake of my lifetime. This was my second time patronizing this establishment and there will not be a third. The first of which they got my order wrong (a bad omen right from the start, wish that scared me off). I ordered the Steak and cheese panini and they gave me the steak and cheese sub. Now I like subâs so I didnât complain. The sub was very underwhelming and attempted to pass off greasiness as juiciness. It was just passable enough to warrant one more shot.
This second visit was by far the WORST culinary tragedy that I have never hoped to be apart of and quite possibly that the world has ever seen. I ordered the Chorizo burrito, which was supposed to consist of Chorizo, egg, cheese, beans and rice. I still am not sure that there was any actual Chorizo in what I received. If there was, it was absolutely tasteless and just tasted like tasteless scrambled eggs from a cheap hotelâs continental breakfast buffet. The whole thing tasted like it was made from the same block of smushy tofu but dyed different colors. It was as if the filling was all just over boiled in the rice water and mixed with cheese. The chef who made this, I honestly believe to be a prodigy. It seriously takes an unfathomable amount of skill to make food taste this comically bad, I wouldnât be able to do it.
Shame on everyone who was involved in this tragedy! Shame on the chef who made this vile science experiment. Shame on the owner for allowing this insult to the food industry to occur on his premises. Shame on the staff who knowingly assembled the order and giving it to a customer without at the very least a warning intervention. Shame on the delivery driver for knowing the quality of the âfoodâ and still bringing it to a paying customer.
I would recommend to anyone looking to eat at Cafecito deli that they could go to literally any gas station and get the worst looking, oldest, guaranteed to give you food poisoning food item that they have and it would be 3 thousand times better. I give this place negative 30 stars and wouldnât even consider using it as a revenge plot on my worst enemy because itâs that bad. I am quite certain food of this quality is fed to prisoners of war both as a form of torture and to keep them alive while robbing...
Read moreWe just had an awesome burrito for lunch! It was hot, fresh, and delicious. Much better than Pancheros. We tried the chicken and the beef burrito. Sticky white rice, beans, and the most tender and flavourful chicken all wrapped in a warm grilled tortilla. The beef was the same but with tender pieces of beef. We do not care for onions nor tomatoes so we told them and none were there! They listened and it was perfect for us. We will only go here from now on. We can't wait to try more on the menu. We are full and happy ready for a day of binge watching Netflix. El Cafecito deli you rock!! Keep up the...
Read moreGoing from Massachusetts to New Jersey we stopped at this place to have lunch and use the restroom. We ordered the beef tacos and chicken ceaser wrap with drinks was less than $30. Food was certainly fresh, you could smell the ingredients as soon as the plate arrived. Simple and fresh food is all we were looking for, but we also found a very friendly and helpful staff. I wish this restaurant was...
