Visiting the Springs from Seattle and was perusing Postmates for something for delivery dry to my hotel the night I arrived into town as I was exhausted and just wanted to hang out in the room at that point. I landed on a few pizza joints, but what sets Fat Belly apart is their value! From 8ā 3 topping personal pizzas for $7, $12 6 topping pies for $14, or even 20ā 6 topping for $27, thatās a steal of a deal in todays world for pizza almost anywhere you go. They even have a 28ā belly buster size for a very reasonable price of $39! Iāve seen places charge around $60 or $70 for that size. I even know of one place that does a slightly larger 30ā pie, but itās around $120! So Fat Belly clearly has some great value and bang for your buck. The prices mentioned above were from their website, because as most of us know the delivery app prices tend to be a tad more, even sometimes dollars more for the same product, then delivery fees, service fees, etc. so also a pleasant surprise ordering through Postmates is that yes, there was a markup, but for the 2 12ā pizzas I ordered, it was like a fifty cent markup. So these guys are obviously trying to do things right and not trying to gouge the customers. I try to read between the lines like that and make my best guess/ judgment and support business like that, coming from a family who owned their own pizza place in a small town in WA when I was growing up. I respect the hustle and moreso the customer support, appreciation, and loyalty business like Fat Belly seem to have toward their communities. That and they are veteran owned and operated! So even better to support those who have gifted us with the sacrifice of service. And the Postmate app, one of my pizzas. I ordered half and half, but for some reason it would y allow that to just go through without clicking whole pizza toppings. So a quick phone call to Fat Belly to clarify my order on that pizza and the gentleman I spoke with said in the future to just call them directly as they can be cheaper than the apps. He also said they offer veteran and first responder discounts. And itās been a few days since I ordered, but I think he even said they offer teacher discounts. So for the great value they already are in taking care of their customers, they go extra to take care of those who deserve an extra pay on the back. As for the actual food, it was pretty damn good and hit the spot. As mentioned above, I ordered 2 12ā pizzas and a 12ā cherry fruitza. The crust had a nice chew. The toppings were plentiful. The sauce was decent, though personally Iād probably prefer a little more on mine, but thatās me being a sauce fiend, nothing against them š And the cherry fruitza was a nice, warm, fruity finish to the meal. And even though ordered through Postmates, the store delivered it themselves. So whatās not to l love about Fat Belly? Give them a try and save...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFound Fat Belly when doing a Google search for Gluten Free pizza in Colorado Springs. When we pulled up and saw FBP tucked in a corner of a strip mall with a small storefront there was some hesitation but we decided to go in and give it a try. A lesson in "Don't judge a book by its cover!"
We did not read reviews and did not realize it was more pickup or delivery but we were able to eat in at one of the two table groupings they did have.
5 people so we ordered a large Italian sausage and a 14" GF Chicken, spinach and Feta. Only white sauce we could do was ranch on the CSF so ended up being a little salty but THE CRUST WAS AWESOME!! Our fault on the salty because of pizza choice. I was happy it was not a flat cardboard GF crust like alot of pizza places.
The 10yr old pizza lover approved of the IS pizza. We should have ordered 2 pizzas as he ate 1/2 the large pizza and would have had more if we didn't stop him. His only "complaint" was the IS was a little spicier than he was used to....but again didn't stop him as he ate 1/2 the pizza.
Service was AWESOME from the time we walked in and realized it wasn't truly a sit down restaraunt to the ordering and receiving our pizzas. They were great at answering our questions. Definitely a popular place as there was frequently someone there for carryout and someone was always on the phone taking orders. The kitchen was hopping the whole time we were there.
Great place to eat and would recommend to anyone coming to Colorado Springs.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stopped in for the grand re-opening for lunch to try them out after a morning at the zoo, and we were not disappointed! This place is tucked away in the corner of a small strip mall beside the surplus store.
The inside has a few tables sit and enjoy your food and a few arcade games to keep occupied while you wait. Chris was on duty to take orders and make the goods today. He was upbeat, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service.
The menu has plenty of options to choose from, and we went with a 20" Meat Sweats pizza, Buffalo bone in wings, and the bread bites. The bread bites came out first, and they were plump, buttery, and delicious! Next we received the wings, and let me tell you there is a TON of meat on these wings. They were brined for a few hours before, and the flavor went all of the way through the meat. I am usually one to want extra Buffalo sauce for flavor, but the brine provided that flavor that is usually missing from other restaurant wings. Absolutely delicious and juicy! The pizza came out, and this thing was huge! The slices are very big, and the cheese and toppings are generous. The crust had that perfect balance of chewy and crispy.
If you're planning to get pizza and wings, this is the place hands down. After eating here, there is no going back to the mainstream bland pizza places. Give it try and pack your patience pants to get quality fresh food made with care - it is...
