I'd seen on wfmj 21 news this afternoon that if you download the Dairy Queen app you could get a free small blizzard at participating DQ's. Shortly after seeing this, I downloaded the app & called Dairy Queen on Youngstown Poland Rd. A young man answered the phone. I told him what I'd seen on the news & asked him if this location was participating with the free small blizzard. He told me that they were participating & that I would have to download the app. Even though he repeated to me what I'd told him I'd see on the news about downloading the app to get the free small blizzard I thanked him & told him I'd be there later today for free blizzard & was told ok. Around 5:30 pm I pulled into the drive thru & a male voice greeted me through the speaker. I told him that I had downloaded the DQ app & had the coupon for the free small blizzard (in my phone). I asked him if I could order it from the drive thru or if I would need to come in. He told me that I needed to download the app. I explained that I'd already downloaded the app & had the coupon in my phone. He then tells me that they aren't doing free blizzards today. I explained that I'd called in earlier today & wasn't told that they weren't doing them. I was then told by the male in the drive thru that I need to download the app & "we" are not doing free blizzards. I thank him & pulled out of the drive thru. He either truly didn't understand or was just plain stupid. I hope management reads reviews & see that some workers need more than training. No worries though...I'll stick with Handel's. They're much better anyway. I have since deleted the DQ app &...
Read moreWent in to get ice cream cake for my sons birthday. The young girl working at the counter had 2 friends visiting. I told her I wanted Happy 20th Birthday Hunter on the cake. She went back and came back with Happy 20th Hunter scribbled in black gel. It was pitiful. I was a bit stunned with what I walked out with. I wish I would of taken a picture. My husband and I sat in the truck for a minute. I am not one to complain and I needed a moment to see if this pitiful cake need fixed...it really did. I went back in and apologized for complaining and stated that for the money I spent on this cake that I wanted it to say what I requested (Happy 20th Birthday) and in a coordinating color. Not scribbled in black gel. The girl stated that she was not a cake decorator, and the black gel was all she had. She did go back and fix it-with a coordinating color, and it looked fine. She was not happy about having to fix the cake. I was not happy with how she did it the first time...it was pitiful...I felt that she rushed through the first time so she could continue to talk with her friends....I would if ordered it early, but due to swing shifts in my house we did not know when we would be able to celebrate as a family. Thanks Dairy Queen...me coming in to complain about poor service kind of puts a damper on a mom trying to celebrate her kids day...also-wipe off your counters. It was...
Read moreIâve never had a Blizzard be drinkable with 0.2mi radius drive there and back!! I literally live around the corner. Let me explain why. I handed the girl 2 coupons and money. It literally took 2 girls, not just one, 10mins.to figure out my change!!!!!! Absolutrky no excuse for this kind of service. What makes it even worse. I saw the girl try to hand the 1st part of my order, a M sundae, to the car in front of me. So you tell me. Would you have brought your 93 yr mother a Sundae that was melted so badly. The tops scoop totally slid off. No choc syrup because it was all melted!!! Come on now!! I honestly dont know how these millenials are going to survive!!! I feel sorry that girl couldnt figure out how to use the coupons. To take and do the nath and apply the discounts. So, yall now know hiw an Oreo Blizzard and a med Sundae became drinkable only going 0.2mi up and back!!! The girl at the window made NO eye contact with me thr entire transactionđ§đ§ Ironic how these millenials feel entitled to respect when they dont even know the meaning. More importantly they...
