Rips Cafe — Restaurant in Struthers

If I could give a thousand plus stars I would. We had an awesome dinner from Rips tonight. We ordered the Hunky Platter and it was awesome. It consisted of pirohi, halushky (cabbage and noodles) and holubtsi (stuffed cabbage). Everything was divine. The pirohi were stuffed to the hilt with potatoes. The halushky had delicious homemade dumplings with the cabbage and the holubtsi (stuffed cabbage) was huge and so yummy! What was so neat was they gave you a little container of sauerkraut and holubtsi juice to pour over your food! We do that when we make all this at home! Thank you Rips we will be coming back again...

RIp’s Cafe is a hidden jem located in Struthers Ohio. It was always known for is bar & Hungarian dishes, However they have much more to offer. A nice menu of comfort foods. A complete & stocked bar, which never disappoints. 6 TV’s for all of your sports viewing. The bar staff & servers are always on point with service. The atmosphere is always relaxed and inviting. I love meeting friends there for a bite to eat or watching the game. They have parking in the front & rear of the building. Lots of seats at the bar or hi tables. This place is an inconsistent train wreck. Ever since the Jamaican head chef left I have never received a meal that was made the same on my next visit. I was served frozen fish dinner twice. A raw chicken teriyaki bowl. And I'm positive the chicken teriyaki bowl made me ill. Its clear this place does not have experienced workers. To me that is sign of poor or inexperienced management.
