Enjoyed visiting with Tessa and meeting Tausha (a unique spelling for "TA-sha", the "u" is silent). Ordered a take-out appetizer, mahi-mahi. I will be returning for this one again. The tartar sauce was the way I like it not too sweet or bitter, savory without overpowering the flavor of the fish or breading. The breading was surprising. Thin, mild, savory and loose. You could easily peel the breading off if you wanted less. The fish was tasty, flaky, and was the best version of fried I could ask for... no oily grease flavor....absolutely extatic with this dish. Tessa offered a second dipping sauce, remoulade, not a sauce I had tried on fish before. It was tasty, I'm a tartar sauce girl.
The fish market area changes daily according to what the fresh catches are that day. The cuts are bagged, kept on ice in coolers you can explore and choose the filet which fits your needs. Shrimp oysters and other fresh seafood is available. Again, multiple visits will be nessasary to explore such a diverse selection.
Then there is the wine gallery... Tessa is great fun to discuss the attributes of the hand selected array of hues and aromas.
In all a great place to make a good day, amazing!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went there to procure sushi grade tuna and salmon for our āsushi nightā. It was top grade and delicious! We also bought a couple of packages of calamari (squid) which were frozen. I planned on making stuffed calamari. Unfortunately they didnāt tell me that the calamari was already cut into 3/4ā wide rings. I didnāt realize it until I defrosted them. Very disappointed. Iām not sure if they carry the uncut ones but it would have been nice to know before. So Iām going to āPlan Bā and making a stir fry with the calamari. Iām sure it will be tasty. š„UPDATEš„ I made an Asian dish with the calamari. I marinated the calamari in almond milk for a few hours. Then I stir fried onions, garlic and bok choy and added the calamari along with sesame oil and Tamari, then a bit of sriracha for heat. The calamari was tender and it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDefinitely a local hit! They're a little expensive, but the quality is good. My only complaint is that they definitely battered and fried their fish with the shrimp, which is definitely a concern given that some people (like me) have shellfish allergies. They have an open kitchen so if you have a shrimp allergy, maybe avoid anything fried. Luckily, my allergy isn't severe and I can manage, I just lose my voice and get a little weasy for an hour or so. Their food is good, their market seafood is high quality. The restaurant was busy, which they may always be. The other night I brought home some scallops and made pasta with a white wine garlic and parmesan sauce. The scallops were good, but man are they hard to gauge...
