Edit: To the person that responded, I said the cheesecake slice was upward toward 10 bucks, after taxes it's over 6 bucks that is not far from 10 bucks for one slice of cheesecake, hope that helped. Original review: Was there yesterday for the first time cause I heard good things on fb about this place. It was clean , well lit, beautiful tribute decor to 9/11 & a decent cashier. I ordered a slice of pizza & a veggie pinwheel. I did tell her it was my first time ( keep in mind) while they were heating up my food, I noticed cheesecake & was going to buy a slice, until she told me it was upward close to ten bucks, 🫢ouch lol I put it back. Two gentlemen came in while I was waiting & one of them ordered a lunch special, that's why I said keep in mind I said it was my first time. I felt like she should've told me me they had lunch specials , since she saw I was ordering a slice of pizza. I would've got an extra slice & a drink included for a bit more, she did ask if I wanted a drink and I said no, & that's because I didn't wanna pay extra for one, that should've been where she should've said, well we have lunch specials that include a drink. I feel like she had more than one opportunity to inform me about their specials, but I stayed quiet , went outside & enjoyed my cheese pizza & it was delicious. The pinwheel I heated up last night for dinner also equally amazing. I worked in businesses with food & alcohol & always started with a smile & greeting, then went into what specials we had. So for that, I won't be going out of my way to travel half hour to buy their food. Every part of a business goes together & should be equal to one another. Like a well oiled machine. You know give people motivation & get them excited about wanting to come back (by informing them about the specials) no matter the distance. Sorry to sound negative, but I don't make it a habit to sugar coat the truth. NYers don't sugar coat. 🤌🤷 4 stars for the delicious pizza...
Read moreUsed to enjoy the food from Salerno's, but the last few times have been awful, the most recent experience going from unfortunate yo downright horrible. Missing menu items when ordering a couple weeks ago, it happens I guess. But this time, delivery order ran an hour and a half late, the driver calling and repeatedly claiming she was knocking at our door while I stood outside with nobody else around. When we called the store to cancel the order and request a refund, the woman who answers the phones argued stating things like "how do you even know the food is cold?," "No, I won't cancel your order," and "the driver is still coming and she's calling you, you need to answer it" and hung up on us. Twice. When I called to request a refund for a third time, she told me we handled it poorly (despite her fervent arguing with a paying customer who just wanted to simply cancel the order) so I requested her manager, to which her reply was "well if you think I'm bad he's worse so good luck." If this is how this establishment wants to treat customers, they deserve a few fewer customers. A lost and late delivery, I can get over and try again another night. But after what this employee turned it into, I will...
Read moreMy sons baseball team goes to Stuart every year for their “spring training”. My husband and I love this team and we sign up to feed the masses one day for lunch during the week we are there. Looking for good food that won’t be astronomical in price is difficult to come by. I called Dave and told him the situation. We had to feed approximately 60 people. He was incredibly kind. He suggested what would be good, easy and what would give us more bang for our buck. His generosity, knowledge and willingness to do pretty much anything to make this happen for us, did not go unnoticed. We ordered with the time we needed to pick up and he told us it was no problem, even when he had another large order along with ours that afternoon. We arrived and his restaurant was busy! (He is a popular establishment) He greeted us and had everything ready to go. He even asked if he could help bring it out! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this experience, nor the food. The food was terrific. The boys loved it. Thank you, Dave and Salerno staff. We are so grateful for your hard work and kindness. We look forward to seeing you next year during Spring break. You have...
