Disappointing Experience
I recently visited an Italian bakery/pizzeria with high hopes of indulging in delicious treats. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The Italian cookies I purchased were not only stale but also emitted a foul odor that was quite off-putting. Additionally, the cake I tried was disappointingly hard as a rock. Overall, it was a rather disappointing visit.
Let's start with the Italian cookies. As I eagerly took a bite, I was met with a disappointing crunch. The cookies were undeniably stale, which was quite surprising considering the bakery's reputation. The texture was far from what I expected from freshly baked cookies. What made matters worse was the unpleasant odor emanating from them. It was an overwhelming and off-putting scent that detracted from any potential enjoyment. It's a shame that such promising-looking treats fell so short in terms of taste and quality.
Moving on to the cake, my disappointment continued. The cake itself had a beautiful appearance, but appearances can be deceiving. Upon trying to take a bite, I discovered that it was exceptionally hard, as if it had been sitting out for days. It was a struggle to even cut through it, let alone enjoy the flavors. The texture was so dense and unyielding that it completely overshadowed any potential taste the cake might have had. It was a far cry from the moist and fluffy cake I had anticipated.
Overall, my experience at this Italian bakery/pizzeria was nothing short of disappointing. The stale Italian cookies with their foul odor and the rock-hard cake left me feeling unsatisfied and disheartened. Considering the bakery's reputation, I had expected much more in terms of taste and quality. It's unfortunate that I was met with such disappointment. I hope that the bakery takes this feedback constructively and strives to improve their offerings in the future. As it stands, I would not recommend this establishment for anyone seeking delicious...
Read moreNOW I understand what people mean when they rave about NY or Chicago Pizza. In all my 73 years, most living in Miami, I have NEVER. NEVER EVER.. had such an incredible pizza! Husb and I moved to Stuart from Miami and N.C. 5 years ago. Have been asking everyone.. WHERE can we get some decent Italian food! Tried half a dozen places, from chains to supposed gourmet. They were all blech!! Neighbor told us to try Vesuvio's. My first visit was today. So I ordered a 12" pizza to take home. I got a 12" with half eggplant and half mushroom toppings. Wow, got a free soda. Wow, the price was less than chain places with coupons. Wow, it was made from scratch from the git go.. No reheating of a cheese pie here! I got to WAIT (this is a GOOD THING!) while my food was being prepared. OMG it is totally dangerous to hang out. Look at the homemade fresh baked cookies, cakes, pies, biscotti, cannoli, can get espresso, cappuccino, combos with various deserts. Oh boy. And look at the dinner menu! I want it all! Brought my pizza home and hubby and I had incredible experience with crispy crust, freshest melty cheese; the eggplant chunks topping was crisped on the top but plenty awesome flavor. We shall go back soon.. only it will be for dinner. And salad. And fresh baked garlic knots. And espresso and deserts! Sorry for the ranting and raving. I...
Read moreWent for a late lunch with a few friends. Took us about 30 minutes to drive there, but heard it was a quaint place with good food. Nice greeting upon entering. Mike was our server who seated us and brought drinks right away.
We ordered garlic knots and fried ravioli as appetizers. The knots were savory with plenty of oil and sauce. The fried ravioli came out second but was worth the wait. Generously filled with traditional ricotta and served with their homemade sauce. Our table was close to the kitchen and we enjoyed an impromptu serenade from staff. Our good server Mike was chatty with us, all the while juggling several other tables.
I ordered the pepperoni Stromboli. The dough was handmade and nicely toasted. We also ordered teriyaki wings and a ham and cheese calzone. Everyone shared and felt they were all good choices. Very filling too as we brought home some leftovers.
The Oreo cheesecake was amazing! And all the desserts are handmade each morning. The cannoli and almond tiramisu were also calling my name, but I decided to save them for my next trip!
They also feature a great deal on a pizza lunch special each day for those folks looking for great food at bargain prices.
Stop on by folks! You won't be...
