Store selection is great, And the products are awesome, more selection then you would’ve seen an Aldie a few years back.I have a very big complaint about the manager for the store. Mark Berella or Barella. I am an Insta cart shopper, and though he may not realize or not a lot of business is booming Aldi’s way because now disabled persons could do what they could’t do before, have their groceries delivered. I asked Mark to point me in the right direction of the spreads in the deli section, which he did. I asked him to grab me one of the spreads that was on the top shelf and I didn’t reach, he did so, but he grabbed the wrong spread and when I pointed them out and asked them to please grab me the right one, he acted frustrated and told me he understands what we Insta Carters are doing, But he doesn’t have time to shop for us. I did let him know that he grabbed the wrong thing and that’s all I asked him for, and if it was the customer he would be doing the same thing. I had over 50 items on the list for the customer, I never asked him to shop for me. I asked And employee of the store for his last name since he said, just Mark, when I asked him for his last name, The employee said that they are not allowed to give employees last names out. I am very disappointed at the store manager, since he is the one that should be at his upmost behavior. That was not the only thing, and older gentleman came to ask him something about an item that he had bought, he went on to telling the older customer that he’d already told him to either grab the right thing or ask for a refund in the front, which he also acted frustrated. That is when I went on to asking in employee for his last name. Someone needs to Investigate this manager out. Whether he realizes it or not, InstaCart shoppers are not going to stop going to Aldi because we shop for those who can’t do it themselves. If it’s not me it’s going to be someone else. This gentleman is very rude and I really don’t believe that managers should be rude if he does this to me he does it to other people, he did it to another gentleman when I was shopping around I was there for almost an hour I had a lot of items on the list and if I saw that behavior with myself and someone else goes on continuously. I am sure that I am not the first person to complain about this individual. If he treated two people poorly within an hours., Believe me this is an ongoing behavior and it should not be tolerated. I would like someone From corporate to please call me or email me, but what really should be done from the headquarters and upper management is to investigate the store. Thank...
Read moreI have 2 suggestions for improving your service. First - Your staff is obviously overworked which results in little or no time to answer customers questions. They are just not available. They are oftentimes very robotic and unfriendly. More emphasis is needed on customer service. Second - Shopping carts are a major source of E. coli and coliform bacteria. I prefer to wipe my carts and avoid placing unbagged groceries in the child seat compartment where most of the bacteria is located. Or, most often I bring my own bag and not use your carts at all. Your staff will switch the carts at checkout and the first place they put unbagged groceries is in the child seat. I have repeatedly asked them to not switch my cart, not place groceries in the child seat or I have asked them to place the groceries in my bag. They are just too busy or obtuse to respond to my requests. Please show respect to those who are health conscious. Its your store and you are responsible for the culture you create. I have responded by minimizing my trips to your store to avoid the confrontations and the bacteria...
Read morealdis is usually very good, just know if u want a shoppinv cart you will need a quarter to access it .( The quarter is returned when shopping cart is put back. It is my favorite thing about Aldis as there aren't any shoppi g xarts blowing around the parking lot. Bring your own bags or u will be paying a nominal price for them. you can access free cardboard boxes if u forget your bags. We like most things they sell, not so much the processed foods. Watch it at the checkout, they go very fast. Today the sign in the cooler said a certain type of spiral sliced ham on sale for 98 cents/lb. I thought i got overcharged when checking my receipt. The discount was taken at the bottom of the receipt as a special promotion. I was all ready to have to return to the store. They definitely focus on efficiency. They are already checking the next person out while you fumble around with you purse & bags etc. They are polite about it. It helps to try being efficient as a customer too. PS the stores in FL sell reasonably priced wine but the stores in upstate NY do not...
