Taqueria La Palma — Restaurant in Sturgis

Great food, good service, great value. First time here. This is the original El Taco Loco location, they gave it a slight face lift. The atmosphere was good and they were reasonably busy. I called ahead for takeout and got four tacos, they were out of tamales. I got asada, chorizo, lengua, and Al pastor. There wasn’t a clear standout, they were all equally excellent. Bold flavors and packed with meat! Some of the largest portions I’ve seen in tacos. Both red and green salsas were great but both very hot, to hot for me to enjoy. The food was GREAT ! I ordered tacos (Carne Asada?). My partner got a steak burrito. My daughter got a kids menu quesadilla. We got chips with the blended salsa. I also requested a bowl of pico de gallo to use with my chips as well as on my tacos. Had to take some of the food to go as I could not finish all three tacos that came with my taco meal. The lighting was dim and it was a bit cold inside. Aside for those two things I really liked this restaurant. Portions were great, flavor was good, owner lady was super nice. Grill staff was erratic, spoke about myself and others in Spanish (I took Spanish in high school), made suspicious remarks about the food and how they were packing the bag.
