Panache the Spalon — Local services in Sturgis

Unfortunately my first experience at Panache the Spalon was not a good one. I made an appointment for shellac and a pedicure. The stylist was polite and engaged in conversation however, the end result was not so great. There was an issue with the ultra violet light machine, one side of the lights didn't work, which resulted in my thumbnail having to be done three times before it was discovered. The owner did provided a certificate for a free manicure when she was notified about it. There is a "not smooth spot" on one of my fingers and the polish doesn't cover some of my nails entirely. The pedicure was even worse. I'm not sure if the polish was old but each big toe had to be redone. When the stylist tried putting the top coat on, it basically pulled the polish off with it. She ended up putting a glitter coat on to cover the blotches. At this point I had been there 3 hours. I left about 9:05 pm. By 11 pm some of my my toenails were still tacky to the touch. I checked them when I woke up and they were still tacky to the touch but not smeared. I went to work and some of my toenail polish smeared with shoes on. I'm not sure why things happened the way they did but it was kind of dark in the building. I couldn't fully see the end result until I got home. Also, I'm not sure why I was charged what I was. When I called to make the appointment, I asked about prices first. What I was told and charged just didn't equal. I paid $88 for both services just to have to take the toenail polish off. I did call the next day for the owner to call me back but I never received a call back. I wish the end result would have been what I envisioned vs what it ended up being. Just moved to Sturgis. I've been going to my lady in Grand Rapids for years. It's always difficult to change your hair dresser but I did. It took awhile but I did it.
