My daughter just had 2 back to back viral videos, so I brought her to get some ice cream to celebrate, told her she could get whatever you wanted, I was on the phone. (Sheās a 9yr old black girl) She told the lady behind the counter what she wanted, asked for it in a cone- lady gave her ice cream in a cup with an empty cone. When I asked my daughter, she said the lady told her āWell you did not specifyā. So I go over and say hey can you please give her whatever she wants and Iāll pay for it- she wants it in a cone. The lady replies āwhy canāt she put it in herself?ā, i said but I told you Iād pay for it, can you please put it in this empty cone, fill it up itās ok Iāll pay, the other lady comes in and goes āWhy canāt you do it yourself?ā, I tried to tell her that this isnāt the best way to talk to customers, she made a irritated face, laughed and walked off with a side wave. I asked the lady, how do I get ice cream in a cone for my daughter, she said Iād have to PAY for it, meaning twice, meaning get ANOTHER ice cream. I said fine. Got it and paid for it, asked for the managerās name which she said was āMariamā. Had my daughter throw away the ice cream in the cup, took a few pics and walked away. Great deal obviously, so we arrived and saw they hand wrote a note that the sale only apply to people that dine in. Which the instagram add from baskin robbins did not state that. So we went ahead and ordered we we're taking a few extras for the rest of the family, so obvious we needed a lid to cover those up. The employee told us if he gave us a lid he would have to charge us full price for the ice cream and void the $1.31 sale, wait what? For a lid? Seriously, that's something I find crazy that for a lid you have to go on and add full price. We asked him to set our ice cream in the freezer instead of letting it sit out and melt, since we did have a few. We asked for a banana split, they we're out of bananas so had to send someone to grab them so we waited, when we ordered our last one the employee brought out our ice cream, we asked him not to since we we're still waiting on the guy to get back with the bananas. Some how flavor of cherry toppings is different than what you buy from stores and I often pay 99$ cents for extra toppings and can anyone believe that I was told that you get One Cherry in 99 cents LOL.
