I'm not sure if this was just an off day for them but it was among the most unprofessional and wasteful experiences I've had at a nail shop. I called a day before to schedule my appointment, spoke with Kasey and she told me to come in at 9:30 AM for the first appointment of the day. I was coming into town the night before and wanted to make sure I was able to get in and get out.
I arrived at 9:23 no one is there - which was fine, I thought maybe someone was inside preparing to open up. Kasey showed up at 9:45 she didn't even ask the other lady patiently waiting and myself to come in. I came in anyway and explained that I had called the day before. I told her that I had a natural nail overlay and needed two nails repaired, one replaced as well as to soak off my old acrylic. She told me the acrylic was fine (it was not) and just proceeded to do a refill. She glued a nail tip over my acrylic nail (red flag) and then proceeded to do a design on my nail WITHOUT ASKING ME! I was charged 65.00 for this. As of yesterday one of the nails I asked to be repaired popped off. Mind you these are my natural nails! Luckily I do my own nails at home most times and was able to repair the nail but it shouldn't be like this!
She asked me to go into the back to get eyebrows and eyelashes done (9.00 and 89.00 respectively) and when I came back she would do my pedicure. The older lady who did my eyebrows did not do a good job and I had to ask her to fix them even though they were still very uneven but I thought to myself it was only 9.00 so no big deal. It took forever for the eyelashes - which by day 2 on the right side are all coming off! 89.00 for eyelashes that didn't even stay on for a full week!!! I came out of the back looking for Kasey and she was gone. No one explained what was going on. I paid for a Spa Pedicure and did not get one, I was given a basic pedicure! I was then charged 20.00 extra from the original price agreed upon and decided not to get the gel color which later the older lady reduced back down to the original agreed upon price quoted to me by Kasey. This trip cost me 193.00!!! This salon is by no means affordable, not professional and I was disappointed by the overall experience. I will...
Read moreI first visited this establishment about 6/7 weeks ago. At the time I did a mani/pedi with shellac on my hands and a regular pedi. I had no problems with the pedicure at all. Very good job. However, the manicure was done dry, no soaking to soften cuticles and the shellac was not applied well in that it was not close to the cuticle so grew out before the two weeks that I had expected it to last. However, I had another mani/pedi booked at a spa because I was traveling overseas for a month and treated myself to shellac on both. When I returned I called and made an appointment to have a mani with shellac and decided to just get the shellac taken off my toes instead of a pedicure. I was charged $10 to take shellac off my toes because I refused a pedicure and $5 to remove shellac plus the cost of a manicure with shellac. As I used to do acrylic/solar for years and never shellac, I’m not familiar with the costs but I find it odd that I had to pay to remove shellac while also doing a manicure with shellac. Anyway I knew before hand what I was being charged. So my complaint is in the way the shellac was removed both on my hands and feet. There was no buffing/soaking with gel remover. Both were buffed off with the electric sander that is usually used on acrylic nails. I mentioned that this was not the way I had the shellac removed two weeks ago but my manicurist (shop owner?) just smiled and continued on. Like someone mentioned in another comment, this prompted a conversation with another worker in the shop in their language and like the other comment I felt like they were discussing me. And again it was a dry manicure. I asked around with family and friends who have done shellac before and the concurred that buffing the shellac off is not the norm and that it should have been soaked off. So once more my nails are thin, soft from the buffing and some nails on my hands are so soft that they bend easily. There is still shellac on the corners of some of my toes. I went to the store and bought some gel remover to take the shellac off myself and for the forseeable future I will continue to do my...
Read moreYou always hear people making reviews about what wonderful work they do but of course, that’s a given. I walked out with some beautiful nails and felt like I received an exceptional service when I got a pedicure. But let me tell you, as a first time mom, I rarely treat myself since I have given birth. I finally decided to go in because of a special event I had to go to the next day. I was so nervous of bringing my baby in, hoping she wouldn’t cause any issues. But the ladies that worked there, Kasey, Jenny, everybody, they didn’t make me feel like a burden. They helped me with feeding my baby along with holding her. I never felt so relieved and felt so at peace knowing that these ladies go above and beyond. They are so kind and selfless. Kasey also reassured me that the business truly cared to accommodate and that is so important and very rare at times. She knew exactly what I wanted but added her creative touch to my nails. She also spoke about how there are days where it gets really late and sometimes really early. That shows so much dedication in providing the highest level of compassion and service. I love that this nail salon is 5 minutes away from me. It’s such a breath of fresh air to experience all of this during these past few stressful weeks. Thank you YK...
