Tony Chat House in Sugar Land on Highway 6 is a true haven for Indian street food lovers. This cozy food truck, run by a lovely and hardworking Indian couple, brings the flavors of Mumbai and Gujarat right to Texas. From the first bite, you can tell the food is made with passion and authenticity, and the couple’s warm hospitality makes the experience even more memorable.
Their Vada Pav is a standout – soft buns filled with perfectly spiced potato patties, layered with chutneys and garlic masala that pack a punch. It’s comfort food at its best, instantly transporting you to the busy streets of Mumbai. The Dabeli is equally fantastic, with its flavorful potato stuffing, crunchy peanuts, pomegranate, and chutneys that hit the sweet, spicy, and tangy notes just right. And of course, their Dahi Puri is a must-try. The crisp puris filled with yogurt, chutneys, and spices create a refreshing explosion of flavors that is simply irresistible.
One thing to note is that Tony Chat House is closed on Sundays and Mondays. While it’s understandable that the couple needs time off, I truly feel Sunday is a day when many families would love to enjoy their food. My humble suggestion to the owners would be to consider opening on Sundays, as it would surely bring in even more happy customers.
Overall, Tony Chat House is a gem in Sugar Land that delivers authentic desi street food with love and care. Whether you’re craving a quick snack or want to relive the flavors of India, this food truck is worth every visit. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area – it’s the closest you’ll get to real Indian street food without...
Read moreMe and my wife visit Tony's on a regular basis. Atleast once every month and the food is always consistent, flavorful and so great. We make it a point to recommend them to all our friends!
But the great food is not the focus of this review. It s their customer service and great attitude. The couple are golden in their heart. Today after getting takeout, i left the wallet at their food truck at 9 Pm and came home without realizing that i left the wallet there. At 12.20 Pm@ night, i hear a knock at my door. Would you believe it? Tony uncle & aunty are at the door, smile in their face, telling me that i left the wallet at their food truck. After a busy night's shift on a saturday, they drove over 35 miles to return my wallet after looking at the address in my driver's license. God bless this sweet couple!

Read moreTony's Chat is a hidden gem for lovers of Indian cuisine. The menu boasts a variety of vegetarian dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. Despite not being a vegetable lover myself, I was pleasantly surprised by the bold and rich flavors of their dishes. I particularly enjoyed their chat items, which were bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The combination of spices and fresh ingredients made each dish a delightful treat. The portions were generous, making it a great value for the price. The only minor drawback was the limited seating options, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Overall, Tony's Chat is a must-visit food truck for anyone, even those who aren't typically fond of vegetables, as their dishes offer a delicious twist on...
