This business is exceptionally unprofessional. I was willing to overlook the first missed obligation (set by the owner) to send me a proposal because of the glowing reviews I had seen online. I even, hesitantly, tried to overlook the second obligation (again, set by the owner) to send me a proposal for my wedding date. I have exchanged, to date, seven (7) emails with the owner of this business. In that time period, all I received was excuses, including being "unbelievably swamped" and the owner feeling "under the weather last week with the flu." I completely understand someone being sick and busy, but when I am told I will receive a proposal by a certain date by the owner of a business, I expect to receive said proposal. This business has more than one employee, and even if the owner is the only person to do proposals, she had two and a half weeks to do so. In addition, I never received, nor will I ever receive, that proposal. I was told the company had my date available. This was apparently not true. The last email I received from the owner informed me that they are not available for my date because they "have had clients semi booked for that date and many of them have confirmed." If there were enough clients semi-booked that "many" (note, not all) of them confirming makes the date unavailable, I should have never been told the date was available. The owner may be polite and friendly, but this is NOT all that is required to professionally run a business of this caliber. I highly advise future clients to steer clear of this caterer for fear that they will be given the same run-around...
Read moreMy husband I I were here two weeks ago. Food was good but not worth the $$$$$. Service was just ok, we asked just to share and appetizer and our salad. She looked at us as if we had just killed a kitten in front of her, rolled eyes and walked away. Once we got app and salad also, yes at same time. We had to ask for plates in order to divide them up. I guess this is a cafeteria so shouldn’t expect exceptional service. Also the manager, idk her name? Had tattoos and short and kinda big boned, I can say that as I too am big boned. Had no idea about wine list it seemed. Asked if they had a sommelier but they didn’t. At these prices u should at least have someone that can help with wine. Nor did she act like she had time to help us decide… atmosphere was awesome, it’s the cafeteria like service and manager/hostess that sealed the deal for us. We would not return or patron any of the other establishments associated with this business. I’d be surprised to see them open another season or less. If n this area I’d go to the Sushi restaurant, Luma, which is just a short walk to next building The response from what must be the short hostess, proves that no constructive criticism is allowed. Just look at her response below with all neg commits. Like I would want to visit one of your other establishments. REALLY? LOL too funny TINA! TOO FUNNY TINA Oh TIna ur so funny! The Karen here seems to go by TINA! LOL TINA This has been a great bit of laugh for our bridge club meeting. We have now replaced “ don’t be a Karen” with “ Don’t be a Tina” Thx for showing your true colors TINA Remember all, don’t be...
Read moreI recommend that Reid’s removes “family friendly” and “kids menu” from their listing. I’ve eaten at Reid’s many times and it’s one of my parents favorites when they are in town visiting us. Tonight we had a reservation for 7 which included my almost 2 year old daughter. Since we’ve visited with her before and I told the hostess in advance to be expecting her, I didn’t imagine this would be an issue. Our reservation was at 5:30. Our daughter was being very well behaved but got antsy at the table (as toddlers do) and so I walked with her around the restaurant - from the front to side door. Some older woman who obviously doesn’t have much experience with children decided this was far too much for her - a child! Walking past her! During dinner! She complained to the manager and the manager came and told me I was not allowed to walk around with my daughter any longer. This isn’t the way a manager “makes everyone happy” she was not being loud and causing no other disturbance besides walking past a table. I believe you nicely tell that woman that we have every right to be purchasing an expensive meal as she does. And if that’s not the case and you do not want children at your establishment, make that clear. It’s just rude and makes a nice family meal (that is very expensive FYI) into a terrible one. Do better. I’ll also mention that I asked if I could add protein to a kids portion of pasta and the waiter gave me two options - a $65 steak or $25 chicken. I hope any parent here is laughing...
