I’ve been to this McDonald’s plenty of times as a delivery driver doing ubereats and usually nobody says anything. I walk in, grab the order off the counter, and leave — they barely even acknowledge me. But today (around 9:30 a.m.) was completely different and made me feel disrespected.
As soon as I walked in, the employee at the front asked me for the last three digits of the order number — I had no problem giving her that. But then she started asking me a bunch of other questions and made me confirm the order. That caught me off guard because I’ve never been interrogated like that before.
What’s crazy is, I used to even wonder why they never checked who was picking up — because honestly anybody could just walk in and take the food. They never asked for anything before. And even when I tried to show them my phone to prove I was picking up an order, they’d just ignore me like they didn’t care.
So why now? Why pick and choose when to start caring? It honestly makes me wonder if this was racism or discrimination based on how I look. If y’all normally don’t care, but suddenly treat me different, what else am I supposed to think?
Then when I left the store, things got even weirder. This random man outside immediately started questioning me about what kind of car I drive, just because I was wearing a jacket with a car brand on it. It was uncomfortable and suspicious. I don’t know if he was an undercover cop or just somebody looking for trouble, but the whole thing felt off. Why are you walking up on people asking weird personal questions the moment they leave a store?
And to top it off, right after that happened, I noticed the employees inside were speaking in another language while looking at me as I walked out — like they were talking about me. That just added to the whole feeling that I was being watched, profiled, or talked about behind my back.
Again, this was around 9:30 a.m., so whoever was working the front counter at that time needs to be addressed. If McDonald’s wants to start confirming orders, that’s fine — but treat everyone the same and do it with respect. Don’t interrogate certain people just because of how they look or dress....
Read moreI went thru the drive thru to order my son his nuggets which he will ONLY eat with sweet and sour sauce. The woman on the speaker box offered me BBQ sauce and I declined and stated I need sweet and sour sauce. I pull forward after receiving my order to see that the drive thru gave me all BBQ sauce for my sons 40 nuggets. That was NOT going to work. When I went to the drive thru there ere a good 7 cars or so in live already. So I had to park and go inside, which I was NOT dressed for. When I walked in no one greeted me nor offered to help me. I had to say "Excuse Me" the assistant manager walked forward and said "Can I help you?" I said "I just came thru the drive thru and ordered nuggets, you guys gave me BBQ, I need Sweet and Sour." As ALOHA rolled her eyes she placed 2 sweet and sour sauces on the counter. I said "Can I have 1 more pls my son has 40 nuggets AND I had to come inside to get them." Aloha then told me I could not have another sauce without paying $.21. She said she already gave me sauce in the bag and she would not give me another. I said ok, I would like to speak with your store manager. She said "I am the store manager." She then said that her store manager was on vacation. When I asked when she would be back she said she didn't know. I then said I would like for her to write the manager's name down and give me the store number she told me to loo on my receipt in the car. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MCDONALDS THEY ARE NOT ACCOMODATING EVEN AFTER THEY HAVE MESSED UP AND ARE WILLING TO LOSE A REGULAR CUSTOMER THAT SPENDS A LOT OF MONEY THERE OVER SOMETHING THEY COULD HAVE EASILY SOLVED. I am shocked that McDonalds has this woman representing their brand and their name, she is...
Read moreIf I can give 0 stars, I would. I’ve had on going issues with this location forgetting items that I’ve ordered through their mobile app and just going through the drive-thru. I’ve sent reviews to corporate and completed surveys over this location and this morning was the last straw.
I placed my order at 10:15AM on the app, get in my car and drive down the street to pick up my order. I went against my best judgment and went through the drive-thru. I finally get to the intercom and give my order code. I’m instructed to drive to the second window. I get to window 1 and the young lady with a tattoo on the side of her neck tells me that she canceled my order. Mind you, I selected that I was there around 10:25am and gave my code at 10:30am.
I wait until she’s done taking an order and ask why was my order canceled. She explains that once it hits 10:30, they no longer serve breakfast online. She didn’t offer to ring me up to ensure that I was still able to get my food. Just, “I canceled it”.
Why tell me to drive to the second window to pick up my food, then turn around and tell me you’ve canceled it. If that was the case, the app should stop taking orders at a specific time and the person taking orders should SAY that before telling the driver to pull up to the second window to pick up their order.
The young man working the second window calmly explained the situation, which made it a little better, but not enough for me to come back to this location to give them my money.
If you can avoid this location, PLEASE DO. Drive to Fairfield to get...
