Maverick Grill and bar — Restaurant in Suisun City

Thank God for the chef because first second and third impressions were HORRID! I walk In and stand there only to be yelled at from across the room “YEAH WHEREVER YOU WANT TO SIT TAKE A SEAT” my facial expressions must have said something because I received a followup yell saying “WHERE DO YOU WANT TO SIT?” I choose my seat the waitress brings me a menu. I order a crEpe but for some unapparent reason my waitress continued to correct me incorrectly with “oh you mean crApe?” I politely with its actually crEpe as its French. She responds, oh well I’m not French!” While I wait for my food I hear a commotion only seen on TV! Some female staff member is yelling and cursing loud enough for everyone to hear! Then later I see the chef/ owner attempt to talk to her ever so politely and she rushes to stand in his face pointing her fingers so very close to his face to continue to tell him off! I get my food and eat my whole meal before my waitress returned to ask me anything except am I ready to pay. She sits the handheld kiosk on my table and walks away but not before ensuring the tip option has displayed.

Thank God for the chef! I’m usually that one to order things with variations. The chef came to my table to confirm my request and served it to me personally! The smile on his face combined with the presentation and good flavor of the meal made all other events more entertaining than insulting. It was filling and delicious to include my cup of fruit that was surprisingly firm yet sweet. The food alone was a 5 star and very much worth repeating. Although at first glance I thought the price was A bit much for breakfast but after receiving my plate it was worth it. It was enough for two which was great! I got my moneys worth. The reason for only 3 stars is because I ordered with NO CHEESE and I discovered halfway through my meal that there in fact was cheese inside my crepe. I have a lactose allergy so I wasn’t able to eat all of my food. I planned on ordering a dessert crepe but the cheese I had consumed had begun to take effect. I went here today for my birthday. I was supposed to have a very good time but we me and my dad were racially profiled. We went to go get breakfast and I ordered a vanilla milkshake. That only was a vanilla milkshake, sour but the owner put A straw in it and tasted it and told me that it was not sour then I ordered a banana and strawberry great not only with the strawberries old, but the crêpe was bland and had no flavor when my dad asked to get the check so we can leave the owner said he was gonna call the cops because we were not paid. I don’t know who told the owner that we were not going to pay. My dad was planning on paying The owner then started being disrespectful to me and my dad for absolutely no reason after my dad said he was going to pay my my dad got sick of it and tried to pay but they wouldn’t let him so he left and the owner follow him outside, and after he followed is outside he tried to fight my dad so my dad was being peaceful and calm. Meanwhile, the man was calling him all sorts of names, racist names, and then a a white man that was in the bar came outside and was about to fight my dad. I was scared for my life I thought I was gonna die today. He had said the N-word to my dad multiple times trying to provoke my dad, but it did not work and me and my dad walked away after we walked away the owner took pictures of our car and said that we were all wrong and nobody has ever said his food was nasty probably because nobody was ever brutally honest to him before that probably bruised his ego, but I don’t really care. He hurt my feelings and made me very sad on my birthday. I don’t want anybody to come here again, especially if you’re a black, male or female, they were racially profile. discriminate against you and your family. I would not recommend this...

Was completely satisfied with this organization until today. I arrived to have a beer and a meal. The bartender serve me a beer and asked if I wanted to eat. I said Yes a small meal. She then left and ignored me for a half an hour. During that time I got the other waitress to give me a menu. After making my decision I put the menu in front of me signaling please take my order. The bartender walked past me several times and then four more customers came in. She immediately got their drink orders and their food orders and place them in the kitchen. I didn’t notice another customer sitting next to me got his food order. Here I am sitting there sipping on my beer waiting for her acknowledgment so I may have a meal at this establishment. After she walked by looked at me and look at the menu sitting in front of me several times I became frustrated.
