I usually order about 100$ worth of food here and have been a customer since it was el farolitos. One of my first orders they took my order and I paid my bill. I was told later they didn't have the peppers for the 2 Chile relleno dinners that cost over 30$ and was forced to order something else of 30$ value that I didn't want because the girl at the register couldn't give me a refund.. that was strike 1. The next time I made sure to ask if they had the Chili needed and nope so I was only able to get about 40$ worth of my order. When I was going to leave I asked for salsa for my order. She wanted to charge me 4$ for salsa and she said there was already salsa in the chip bags that came with my order? She never asked me what kind of salsa I wanted or if I wanted chips? Just that there was already salsa She had picked out in the bag. I let the cashier lady know I buy a lot of food here and you want to charge me 10% of my order price for salsa? Her response sorry I can't help you.. I said you realize I'm going to find another place to buy food at and she didn't have a problem with that. Strikes 2 and 3.. it's over priced fast food and people working their are so out of touch they are assuming what people want for condiments then trying to charge $$$ for a free condiment at every other Mexican resteraunt.. what a let down just keeping it real I won't ever come back there again and none of my family...
Read moreWe were overcharged, by just a small amount, but overcharged nonetheless. I'm not sure if it was accidental or deliberate, but the total amount I paid in cash was not consistent according to their displayed menu prices behind the counter, and I was not given a receipt. The people seemed nice and friendly. The food is okay and was seasoned well. But, the tacos are way overpriced. $4.25 for a small, regular taco, just meat, cilantro, and onion... and it's $6.50 for a "super taco." Their super burritos are super small. The one they sold us measured at 7 inches for a "super" burrito, and it hardly had any meat in it. The flavor was average, but it's definitely not worth the price for a 7 inch "super" burrito. I'd recommend they increase the value by either slightly enlarging the serving sizes or slightly lowering the prices. But as it stands now, it's not worth it when there are competitors offering better value for similar or even...
Read moreI’m from the Bay Area and even there it’s hard to find good Mexican food. I was passing through and decided to try Taqueria Ruiz. I came in at opening time 9am. Enjoyed the sights and sounds of the ladies preparing the salsas and meats for the day. Ordered a simple super burrito (steak, light rice, whole beans with no cream/no cheese). Enjoyed the chips and especially the salsa while I waited. Burrito came hot/fresh and delicious. Even portions throughout the burrito from top to bottom. When I got to the bottom of the burrito it did NOT have excessive amounts of oil (I hate that) like other places who do not take the time to strain the meat. The tortilla was toasted too! 👏 It’s the little bits of love that go into cooking that matter and this place understands and practices this. 5 ⭐️’s! Give...
