Mora Iced Creamery - Downtown Summerlin — Restaurant in Nevada

I was just walking through Downtown Summerlin and all of a sudden felt like ice cream, and so I wanted to try this place out because it seemed like it was pretty good.

I really liked the inside of this tiny place because of the modern and clean look, and I love the quartz looking counter and table tops. When we first walked in we were immediately greeted to over 35 flavors of ice cream and gelato, and that isn't including the food menu! Im my opinion over 35 flavors is a bit too much. I have never been to a place with that many flavors and so it was kind of hard to decide what to get. Plus, some of the flavors just seem like other flavors but just with an extra topping so I'm still not sure why they need that many flavors, but that's okay I guess.

The staff were super nice though, and we got our stuff really quickly! I got lemon bar because I wanted something refreshing and kind of fruity. I didn't feel like getting something rich like chocolate like I usually get. My aunt got the Irish coffee. If I'm being honest again, there wasn't really anything special about the ice cream and the flavors. Yes, they were really good and refreshing, and really creamy and lucious. However, they tasted like any other ice cream. I wish they had their own unique flavor or touch. I don't know if that is just the flavors we got, but it was lacking something. Plus, I could barely taste the lemom in my ice cream. I was expecting a stronger punch in the lemon flavor, but I could barely taste the lemon in it.

So disappointed. Went in to get a hot chocolate and an ice cream. When asked what size hot chocolate the girl held up the two size cups and I asked for the larger size. The gentleman rang up the order and my boyfriend paid, took his cone, and walked around the corner to get a seat for us as I waited for my drink. The girl came around and asked what size drink i had asked for and I said the larger one and she said “ok well he rang up for the small” so I said the smaller one is fine and she said I already made the larger one but it’s ok I’ll give it to you. A few moments later she comes back around and says “I’m sorry, my manager says you have to pay the full price so we will refund your order and charge it again.” Well needless to say I was confused but didn’t want her to get in trouble so i went back to the register and had to go through the process of them refunding the entire order and ringing up the order again. At this point my boyfriend comes around confused on what took so long and sees me paying what he thought he already paid for so I explain what happened as we were walking to a reservation we had. He turned around to go back into the store to talk to the manager only to find out there was no manager actually working at all. I’m not upset about having to pay for what I got, but I am upset that this young lady straight up lied to my face and found absolutely nothing wrong with that. Also aggravated that I had to go back and redo the entire order instead of either 1) just giving me the smaller one when I asked for it after the error was realized or 2) just letting me pay...

I recently stopped by Mora Ice Cream and decided to give their cookies and cream cone a try. The verdict? It was decent but didn't quite hit the high notes I was hoping for. The flavor was pleasant enough, but it didn’t feel particularly unique or memorable.

The ice cream itself was smooth and creamy, which is always a plus, but I was hoping for a bit more oomph from the cookies and cream mix. Maybe it’s just a matter of personal taste, but it felt like it could use a little extra something to really make it pop.

I’m not giving up on Mora Ice Cream just yet, though. They have a bunch of other flavors that sound intriguing, so I’m definitely planning to come back and explore some of their other offerings. Here’s hoping the next flavor adventure will be more...
