When I went to order over the phone as usual I was told by a female employee don't know her name. Had to question, if I had reached Pizza Hut she didn't announce who she was or what store she was answering for. She told me that due to the fact that Pizza Hut was throwing out thousands of pizzas at night because people were not coming in and picking up their orders and paying that they now found they had to get your credit card information over the phone. Will not freely give a credit card information over the phone. Pizza Hut really needs to consider using an automated service to collect that private information and then returning to a confident capable employee to place the order. The manager wasn't much better. He kept repeating how many thousands of dollars and pizzas that they had thrown out because people did not come to pay. I explained to him that that was a shame that he didn't bother to contact one of our homeless shelters. He could have contributed those pizzas and wrote them off as a tax credit and fed the hungry. And then he hung up on me. Great example of management or I should say a dei hire! Although I don't know if they were the same pizzas that I was given. It was ice cold. I ordered online but was unable to choose a super supreme. It appeared online that there was an additional charge for pan pizza and not for hand tossed. Kind of funny and ironic. It's always been the other way around when you go in the restaurant. I arrived at the restaurant within the 15 minutes that it said it would be ready when I pulled up. They immediately gave me the pizza. When I gave them my name. I found it odd. The box did not seem warm when I arrived at home which is only 10 minutes later and got ready to eat the pizza. I had to put it in my oven to heat it because it was ice cold. I don't believe that it was a fresh pizza at all by the outward appearance of it. Sorry I didn't take a picture so I could show you. It was $22 of waste of time and waste of good money. This Pizza Hut has always had tremendous problems but I found that I was able to work through those by physically coming in and picking up a pizza that I ordered online and paying when I got there. It will be quite some time if ever I go back. Pizza Hut is not a restaurant it used to be! Oh and here's the real kicker in insult. When I place my order online it asked if I wanted to leave a tip. When I got to the restaurant before giving me my pizza they asked me to sign a receipt. The girl didn't know why she had to do that just that she had to. Also, on that receipt again it asked if I wanted to leave a tip. It's one thing to expect a tip when you provide good personal service. When you go into a restaurant and physically sit down and have a server, bring everything to you and check on you to make sure everything is going well. But the audacity of Pizza Hut to ask if you want to leave a tip for someone that is a cashier that hands you the food after you order it online. What extra work or service have they provided. I find that tremendously insulting to those that are a professional server in the restaurant business. They do deserve a tip for...
Read moreHad yet another (and last) Horrible experience at this 700 N Main st location. I came to s'ville because the eat in goose creek store has too many issues. All the tables on the floor tonight, except one, had the chairs put up on them. All the booths had tables pulled out making it impossible to sit down. This was a hour and a half BEFORE close. We sat at the one table available. We asked to have the breadsticks brought out before the pizza - appetizer right - because no pizza hut brings the breadsticks out before the pizza. Breadsticks came out WITH the pizza. Really? Then after stuffing 2 large pizzas and breadsticks on our table (#no room to eat) our waitress Celsay gave us no plates or silverware. Only customers and no plates or silverware. I grabbed silverware from a full tote of rolled silverware at the wait station 5 feet away and had to call Celsay back to get plates. That is the last time anybody waited on us. I never saw Celsay again. We had to go refill our own drinks. We had to go ask for our ticket after waiting when we were done. Not sure why as you could see and clearly HEAR the 6 to 8 employees in the back of the store. The wait staff at the store tonight clearly had no intention of performing their duties. Although I love the pizza, I am almost certain Pizza Hut has lost my business forever. To put this review in perspective, both my wife and I made a living as waiters when we were younger. I know the job and the hassle it can be sometimes. I NEVER gave...
Read moreToday, I decided to go to Pizza Hut since their parking lot is always empty for a quick pickup. I ordered a 12-count of wings. I picked up my order and halfway back to my destination, I noticed that there were no napkins or wing sauce in my bag. I quickly turned around and headed back to Pizza Hut thinking that it was just an oversight. I told the boy that had just given me my order that he forgot to give me my condiment of sauce. He then inquired, "Did you order sauce?" EXCUSE me, with the price that I just paid for my wings, sauce does not come with the order? WOW...On your receipt, you have the audacity to request 5 stars...REALLY, really! So, there is the mystery of the EMPTY parking lot. NEWS FLASH, perhaps, you should find out HOW is it that Chic-Fil-A is the leading food industry on EXCEPTIONAL customer service and "buy a clue" from them. I would much rather prefer waiting in line where the cars in the parking lot are ENDLESS compared to your 3 cars parked parking lot any day. What a WASTE of both my time and money. Never again.
Regards, One less car in your parking lot...
