Waffle House — Restaurant in Summerville

I just realized I left a 5 star review 3 years ago. Well, today is Sun may 28 2023. My 19 year old just arrived home from a great evening out. I had fallen asleep at 6p.m. and woke up at 3:45a.m. My son was just getting home and I had made the comment that I wish there was a breakfast place open. My son mentioned Waffle House. We were both still too tired to go eat anywhere so I placed an online order. I was 8 min away from the Waffle House 100089 Dorchester road location. I arrived and my order was ready. I was greeted warmly and found the 2 staff members to be incredibly kind, thoughtful and professional. I believe I was there close to 5:30 a.m. The cook was very friendly, funny, charismatic and so polite. The waitress went out of her way to place syrup in a to go container. Really nice people just made the experience so wonderful, especially at 5:30 ish a.m. Food was of course extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. I have been to many Waffle Houses in 6 different States across America as I'm originally from Canada. These two staff members at the 100089 Dorchester location (close to ALDI) definitely made the experience terrific!!! It is sure nice to be treated well and to have your food cooked so well. my husband and I I decided we didn’t want to get stuck in a crowd on V-DAY and we worked all day. So we stopped by this Waffle House ( haven’t been there in a LONG time due to food not being cooked right and always wrong on top of rude staff). When we pulled up I REALLY NEVER thought I’d ever see the place look sooo dressed up for V-Day with roses table cloths the really pretty Lighting and fully staffed! They also looked well dressed and VERY nice and polite. Actually looked like fine dining. We almost stayed because it was a different atmosphere than what I’ve seen growing up but we were so tired. I was also surprised to see the Operations Manager over a lot of the stores, Mr Rogers was there. I really wish I would have taken pics. The food was also correct and when we got home was still just as hot as it would have been sitting there to eat and it was cooked perfectly!!!! I’m giving three stars today because the food is always good, and the staff is always kind, but one of the managers who seems to continue being rude to everyone still has her job. While eating, this manager continues to scream and complain at her employees instead of being professional and taking them aside privately to discuss their mess ups. There are multiple sets of customers in house, and as I sit here and eat, I continue to hear her yell at the employees doing their job. I wouldn’t want to be doing much of my job with someone screaming in my ear like that. The manager is working 10/27/17 at 11:55, and I would like someone to do something about it. This is the second time I have come in here and experienced this particular manager being rude and nasty. Last time we were here she apologized and when I told her that it is unprofessional to speak to employees like that, she changed her attitude and we left.
