This Big Lots gets 1-star review from a veteran family who has faithfully shopped at Big Lots for years. Customer Service & Management? HORRIBLE! Items are incorrectly labeled with prices and the manager refuses to honor them. For example, the dish ware set in the photo was labeled $24.99. However, we were charged $50 at the register. We pointed out the incorrect pricing to the cashier. She agreed and said that she would honor the price but needed the manager’s assistance because she could not remember how to grant a refund in the computer. The manager came to the checkout line, we showed him our receipt along with the items that were incorrectly priced. He VERY rudely stated “I AM NOT GOING TO HONOR THIS. THE PRICE TAG IS NOT DIRECTLY UNDER THE ITEM and then proceeds to walk away while we are talking to him The cashier stood in awe as the managers behavior was so deplorable. We swallowed our disgust and frustration and left the store. We called the Big Lots Customer Service hotline and were assured that an email rectifying the situation within 24hrs would be received. Still waiting on the email. This situation is unfortunate especially, when we were so kind to the employees & the manager regardless of his neglect and disrespect. We knew what we came in for just waited for the floor sales associate to finish with her customer i realized she was alone so we browsed in the meantime until we were ready . Chrissy was PHENOMANAL and knowledgeable about what they had in stock ! Thomas came a little later in the shopping . We were with her for about an hour (trying to decide bc she gave some additional options ) we ended up purchasing a mattress , recliner, toddler recliner pillows and some body wash ! Chrissy definitely could've used some help but SHE DID IT wit EASE ANYHOW Had a little trouble registering my email in the system but it worked out in the end , Thomas was with chrissy towards the end & was helpful as well he assisted us with our purchased items out to the truck . And then went back and got a vacuum cleaner and other things needed for the house! First two trips for great last trip easy shopping experience but the cashier lady was not very friendly she didn't smile she was directing to the point kind of made you feel like she didn't want to be there! Not calling any names cuz I don't want someone to lose their job. Didn't really bother me that much but felt it was worth saying! Otherwise all the other associates in the store are very friendly and kind! So today I went back to the Summerville Big Lots store. Saved $45 in coupons and cash and coupons.
