Wesmark Plaza — Local services in Sumter

I loved the service the first time. But the place was empty.

I came back 2 weeks later for a fill-in, and they raised the process $10, saying my nails were long... the first time, they were $30, by the way! This was completely not true. As a matter of fact, my nails grew very little in 2 weeks. If I have to pay a higher price, I don't mind, but I prefer to know why before I pull out my payment and see the price on my receipt and have to ask why. I think it was unprofessional and a way to get a bit more money because its the holidays. I have seen this all over Sumter. Also, 3 Caucasian women came in at sat next to me after I was there 20 minutes. They asked one of them to come and sit at the mext available chair. I had to tell them I was there first. They knew this since everyone else had been serviced and left already. I was the only one, other than someone waiting for a person being serviced was sitting in chairs. Then, after i said this, one of the women said, 'Yes, I think she was here before us.' She was sitting right next to me. This is a problem in this area. I think I'm going to start going somewhere outside of Sumter. We keep these places going with all the money we spend on nails, lashes, and hair, and when it comes to another race, we mean nothing. The locations are holding on the best they can but the parking lot wasn't constructed with a properly deep layer of gravel beneath the asphalt to save money. Unfortunately, it was also built on clay so it erodes and creates an unstoppable series of potholes that sometimes takes days to obstruct and repair. The only permanent solution is shutting it down section by section and putting down a proper layer of gravel and re-pouring it. This would cost hundreds of thousands and is unlikely. Until then I'll put cones and when necessary sometimes entire shopping carts in the holes if I see them. Good luck guys, be careful.

Update 9/12/2024. Cones all over the parking lot again. More holes forming everywhere. Same...

I was happy to see the West mock-up and send that they fix the parking lot. A lot of bad potholes and they redone everything to make a smooth ride with your car I like to see the movie theater open more or something at times and better movies couple stores that still vacant they can fix that up more and everything would be a great Shopping Center Plaza in Sumter and that's about it so I...
