On this glorious late spring afternoon, i was in the heart of sunbury, PA and was so hungry i could eat a horse. The weapon of choice to attack my hunger was a sub, and the supplier of this device to take out my hunger was Subway. I came to the conclusion i was going to purchase a foot long ham, cheese, lettuce, & tomato sub on an Italian herb and cheese bun. The bun was rather delicious, if i don't mind saying so myself. However, yet again, the ham was not locally - dollars to donuts the poor pigs were brought up in a slaughterhouse w/ feces up to their bellies before they were menacingly slaughtered and distributed to fast food chain restaurants. The cheese was horribly processed - it felt like a millimeter thick square of wax. The sub had hardly any meat or cheese on it though. More or less, it was a lettuce and tomato sub. The tomatoes were a pale pinkish color , rather than a typical vibrant red. Regardless of it being 5$ for this foot long sub, I would suggest paying a little bit more per capita of sub than to select such a poor establishment. I would highly recommend "Taste of Philly" in selinsgrove PA, a slightly further drive, but far better meat, veggies, and bread. Also on fourth street in sunbury , there is "Bottleworks" you can get fabulously cooked subs with fresh meat and veggies , as well as a frigidly cold beer to wash it down. Yes, up front you'll pay 2 to 3 dollars more for a sub at these 2 fine restaurants, but there is a vastly superior difference in quality as well as quantity of meat and veggies on your submarine sandwich. You can't beat more quality and quantity for negligible difference in price. If you like having a hardy, fullfilling meal, select the later 2 choices of restaurant i was so kindly to name. If you like eating like a small bunny rabbit, then hop on...
Read moreThe male employee here needs to take a couple of courses on how to speak and treat the customers. The way he speaks to you is very condescending and arrogant. If you order extra stuff, you know you'll have to pay extra for it. He stop what he's doing and gives you a nasty look while saying something around the lines of, "that's going to be extra," or "that's $1.25 extra." Which is fine but they way he says, it's as if he believes you can't afford the little bit of extra cash it'll cost you. When placing an online order for pickup and he's there, it always like WW2. I know what I ordered and I know what I paid for, why was there an issue when he messed up on my order and I corrected him? He went to his computer screen, checked the receipt again and implied that I lied about my order because the receipt on HIS END it did not show him what it was correctly. I literally had the app open on my phone ready to show him, there's no reason...
Read moreI would not recommend this subway location to anyone; unless you are trying to wait in line for ever and be scammed with their online orders. I tried ordering from them today for lunch. when I was trying to place my order; an error kept popping up with my information. I cleared it all out and tried RE-entering the information again.. not just once, but 3-4 times. I ended up going through the drive thru to order and the lady was EXTREMELY rude. I then thought I should tell her about my order I tried placing online, then I thought maybe I should check my account to see if money was taken out of my account. everytime I hit the "submit order" button, it was taking the total out of my account! I have 4-5 $11.01 transactions that were taking out of my account!! this will be the first AND the LAST time I associate with this...
