I found out about an music event happening here via Facebook and we decided to travel up here on a Thursday night in October.
Have you ever been to the Ryman Auditorium? This reminded me of that. The concert hall is in an old church. They have made some modifications to help with the sound and I thought it sounded good in person. It didn’t sound as good on the video I took with my phone. Still, this was a unique and intimate experience.
The building is old and I am guessing over time they will do some fundraisers to make some improvements but the space is great for events. Seats in the concert hall are old church pews. Not the most comfortable but it adds character and it feels authentic in there.
They did have some snacks and drinks for sale in the lobby. We don’t get anything, we ate dinner prior to coming.
The bathrooms were down on the lower level but there is an elevator. I believe if you don’t take the elevator you have to go outside and around the side of the building to get to that door but I could be wrong.
We parked on the street and walked a couple blocks to get here. There is parking info on their website. This part of town is very walkable.
I will keep an eye on events here and will...
