Varietal Beer Company — Restaurant in Sunnyside

On my way to Yakima, I stopped in Sunnyside and found this lovely little craft beer place. This place is very inviting and you can feel this as soon as you cross the doors. There is a homey feeling you get once there. It doesn’t hurt that dogs are welcomes and that there is a kids play area while parents enjoy a pint. The beer selection is varied and quite delicious. I was happy with the three different selections I made. A food option is also available, if you feel hungry. I was there on a Tacos night and it was tasty and fairly priced. This was a great experience and next time down this way, I will make a point to stop by and enjoy a pint....

Varietal is a great kid and dog friendly brewery tapping both new and old school brew. Every detail has been thought of and well executed. Varietal has both inside and outside seating, a crowler machine for brew to go, great merchandise, and the atmosphere is just so welcoming. Varietal also has a barrel aged brew program as well and many collaboration brews in the works. This is a brewery that has just opened, but is leading the way for Eastern Washington breweries. Varietal Brewing never misses. As someone who’s always chasing new brews, (Untappd) this place is a dream—constantly rotating taps and fresh canned releases every week. Seriously, every visit feels like a brand-new flight waiting to happen. 🍻

Tonight’s pairing? A crisp, West Coast IPA alongside a yummy smashburger from Triple CS—hands-down one of the best food trucks around. If you time it right when they’re parked out front, don’t miss it.
