Let me start by saying that my experience is based on a series of unfortunate events that ended in having to go to a different establishment for alterations: I was recommended the seamstress here by Fashion Corner as the seamstress worked for them for a number of years. For the initial appointment, one of the ladies from Fashion Corner called over to see if they could squeeze us in as my wedding is in less than a month away. They managed to fit us in that day and we went over. They had us go back to the fitting room and it felt like I was inconveniencing them that I was there. I hopped into my dress and walked out to be pinned. I noticed the strange way in which the seamstress pinned my bust at an angle, I mentioned it and she insisted there would be no seams. I placed a ton of faith into this person. She quoted me just for the adjustment of the bustle (The manufacture for my dress covered the cost for the remaining alterations as they sent me a dress with a hole in it) and I was on my way. I came back a week later and to my surprise it took them several minutes to even locate my dress (She had to ask what kind of dress I was picking up and what alterations I was getting). She explained that it was just the bustle and I explain no, you pinned me into my dress… she then said oh yes. Give 20 minutes and I’ll finish the alterations. I was baffled but not surprised as she did not remember what alterations had to be done. When I got back after 20 minutes to try it on once more, I wanted to cry uncontrollably. Beads were missing, the straps were sewn shorter but still falling off my shoulders and my chest was SIDEWAYS! This is not to mention the folding of the mesh on my back to shorten where my lace appliqués were laying. Not only that, you can clearly see the seams when there were none! I left on the brink of tears. The seamstress offered to make the adjustments but I declined because I did not want her touching my dress again. I wish I had taken better pictures before I took it to the second seamstress at a different location but I was so disappointed with my whole experience that I could even bare to look at my dress anymore. Thank you for ruining my $1500 dress and leaving me to pay more money to get it fixed. I do not recommend going here for alterations. In my honest opinion, you and fashion corner made what was supposed to be an amazing and fun experience, a nightmare.

Great customer service, Maria helped me pick my daughter dress. I first came to Corset house then thought tricities and Yakima might have other options, thought wrong, came right back to order the dress I was looking at. Yes, it is best to buy local and support our small businesses. Thank you Maria for all your help

Highly recommend! I brought my dress three weeks before my wedding and they were able to have everything done SO fast at such a reasonable price. My dress was also very comfortable all night!

I had an absolutely dreadful experience at Fashion Corner and Corset House, which I feel compelled to share to prevent other brides from facing similar nightmares.

From the start, the bridal consultant disregarded my preferences and brought me dresses that were the complete opposite of what I wanted. My mother had to step in and pick out dresses for me, which is when we found one I really liked. However, it was many sizes too big. Despite our concerns, the consultant and sales ladies assured us that this wouldn't be an issue, claiming it would be an easy fix for their tailor. Feeling anxious, defeated, and frustrated, I reluctantly said yes to the large dress, trusting their expertise. They assured us the alterations would cost between $200 to $300.

When we visited their tailor, she informed us that it would be nearly impossible to make the dress fit properly and repeatedly questioned why I didn’t get a smaller size. As if I would choose a dress that was too big! After three months of work, the tailor delivered a dress that was a disaster. One side was 18 inches longer than the other, there was butchered lace, loose strings, and literal holes in my wedding dress. The fit was awkward, and she added large fake padding, which I did not want. My mother has minimal tailoring experience and tried many times to discuss what could be better with seamstress, but we were both repetitively shut down. To top it off, they charged us almost $500 for these shoddy alterations.

Throughout the process, the tailor constantly tried to tell me what I wanted and even body-shamed me for not having larger breasts, insisting that I needed them. It was incredibly upsetting and unprofessional.

In the end, my mother, bless her heart, did an incredible amount of work to make the dress fit perfectly, fixing holes, lace, hemming, and Etc. She made it fit like a glove and even did the bustle herself. I don’t know where I would be without her. My mom gets a five-star review.

It’s clear to me that Fashion Corner and Corset House have little integrity and no genuine interest in fulfilling a bride's dreams. They are willing to lie to make a sale, a nonrefundable expensive sale at that. A wedding dress is supposed to be the highlight of planning a wedding, something I’ve looked forward to since I was a child, avidly watching Say Yes to the Dress. Sadly, this experience was the worst part of my wedding planning – a sad, terrifying, expensive, and...

ZERO stars if that was an option. DONT COME HERE! this alteration store completley ruined my wedding dress & rather than owning up to it, they kept making excuses and saying they did the job right or that they cant remember because they have too many dresses their working on and coming up with ghetto ways to fix it. if you cant handel the amount of buisness to do a quality job then you shouldnt run a buisness. The ONLY alterations that were needed were the straps, busle, and the front hem as it was a tad bit long from the front of the dress- not to hard right?! WRONG! my dress originally had a long beautiful train in the back and they literrally CUT OFF MORE THAN HALF OF THE TRAIN LENGTH and the white part of the train didnt even line up with the top tulle layers . the front hem looked like a 2 year old took scissors and just cut it shorter. it was also way to short in the front. They handed back my wedding dress with rips, a shark toothed front hem tulle and half of the train in the back missing in length. Im pretty sure they even removed one layer of the dress as it was not as proofy from its original form. they stained it somehow too as the while appears more yellow than it was white. they used very poor quality buttons to make the bustle. where they put the buttons for the bustle the tulle was actually ripped underneath. they used pink ribbons for the bustle when my dress was white. its common sense to use the same color ribbon if any alterations are made... like seriously?! they also removed 4 + bottons from the back when they didnt need to & left a whole at the bottom of the zipper where the buttons should've been. It was a battle for me to get compensated for the amount of $$$$ i paid for the dress and the horrible job they did - paying for the dress does not make things any better. its the least they couldve done. your probably going to resell the dress anyways all botched to a poor bride thinking it was originally that way when you guys killed its original beauty. I was lucky enough the bridal store had ONLY ONE LEFT in stock of my original dress, length, size, and color. my original dress took 6+ months to arrive and thank god this new order of the same dress is hopefully only going to take max 3 weeks. WORST EXPERIENCE ever. although this place seems popular DO NOT TRUST IT. I highly do not recommend it here unless your ok with paying a high price for a VERY LOW...
