Wife and I have almost dined there on several occasions. Either it was too crowded or we heard that it was overly pricey. When a friend of ours posted his great experience there and how good the food was we decided we would go check it out. We went for an early dinner to avoid a crowd. Only place that was crowded was the bar which I like. Had the feel of a neighborhood bar. People relaxing and having a good time. Menu was okay, thought it would have more southern & comfort food like meatloaf. Pot roast and fish. I always judge a restaurant by its chicken fried steak. The regular comes with two. It was a little over crisp where the breading cracks off and you end up with a big chunk of crust. Wife had the chicken fried chicken, she said it was good. Salads were great. Bake potato was not hot and undercooked. Wouldn't melt butter. Mash potatoes is the way to go. They don't offer rolls or bread. One of the pleasures of Texas Road house, Cheddar, Outback, and Salt Grass is the bread. We had heard the drinks were overly priced and $12 for a regular size Top Shelf Margarita proved that rumor true. Draft beer was $5.50 and only a dollar off for Happy hour. Another point I judge a really good establishments cooking is if they actually prepare their own recipe on appetizers such as Jalapeño poppers or use pre-made frozen products. I love a good Jalapeño rat toe or stuffed. They fail in this category. On the positive side our waiter was great and the staff seemed friendly. We will try them again. We liked the vibe and will try some different menu options.

This restaurant has recently opened and we came first on a Friday night but the wait time was an hour and a half at 8pm so we came on Sunday afternoon. The hostess was nice and the decor of course has a country vibe. It looks like they have a good outdoor area. Our waitress was nice and friendly but could have been more attentive. She was quite distracted and forgot to bring items and took a while every time to come to our table so by the time we wanted or needed anything it was too late or the food got cold. The food was not as good as we had hoped. The bacon burger didn't have bacon nor any kind of seasoning. The chicken fried steak also was bland and did not have seasoning. The griddled cheese was actually good except that the tomato made the middle of the bread quite soggy. The hot wings did have a good char flavor but not a huge fan of the buffalo sauce, it would probably be better if there were other flavors. My family gave this place more of a 2 star in general. Unfortunately, don't think it would be my first choice to go to.

Tons of friends telling me GO TO THIS PLACE It is great. So today I tried it. I am disappointed. we were seated, we ordered after waiting for the waitress to come see us, food got to the table, we had three entrées and two appetizers, the chips tasted like they been out in the air for about three days, we continue to wait for our entrées, the waitress never came back to us and ask us if we need refills on our drinks or anything else, we finally received our entrées, The mashed potatoes were like a hard ball, we could stick our fork in them and lift the whole serving up from the plate, I had french fries and they seem to be frozen fries that had been baked and then left out until they were needed for a platter, it took us forever to get our bill, our server was more concerned with eating her lunch inside the kitchen area because every time she came out of the door she had a mouth full of food and she had a giant Red Bull sitting by the door drinking that as well while we are waiting for a ticket, The bartender concerned me as while he was standing there talking to a guest on the barstool, he removed his backwards baseball cap, he ran both hands through his hair at least 4 to 5 times, , he put his hat back on and proceeded to pick up clean glasses and hang them up as well as go to the kitchen get food and bring it out and serve it to the customers, This was concerning. , the vents have dust on them, they need to be thoroughly cleaned as well as do the speakers, my first visit was very disappointing because our community needs a place like this, it really looks great inside, how it’s decorated, the back area is great, it looks like they had a great plan in the beginning and something just fell through, they need managers on point, upon leaving they had the kitchen door open by the bar and there were six large cookie sheet type trays full of baked french fries just sitting there, not sure if they would need that many french fries in a couple of days. Maybe this was the reason mine tasted bad. we will not be returning for dining but maybe for outdoor drinks and music. Wish this place the best. Our community needs it. Hope it can...

Went there to try for the first time and I would say it was not a pleasant experience. First off before even being seated me and my boyfriend where on their radar for something that they went and blew out of proportion. I owe no explanation to the staff but I’m a very emotional person and I cry when I hungry my boyfriend came over to comfort me and give me a hug and I guess someone took it as him “tackling me”. As soon as we walked in staff was asking me if everything was ok. I was extremely confused and said yes and we went on with being seated. The whole time that we were sitting I could feel not only customers but staff as staring at us as well. My boyfriend went to the restroom for medical reasons and that’s when their host asked if I was “safe” which I understand. However even after I informed staff of the situation they kept staring at us and making both me and my boyfriend uncomfortable. So much so that I took like 3 bites of my plate. I felt like I was being judged not only that but they accused my boyfriend of being abusive which absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention police showed up. So not only did they waste my time but the police’s time as well. I called and was told they would call me back which did not happen. I had to call again the next morning was told to call at 7 so I could speak to the manager that was there the time of the incident which I understood but still frustrating. Called at 7 only to be told that he wasn’t there. Was finally able to get in touch with him, and explained the situation and that I wanted a refund for my meal. He said that there was nothing he could do as there was nothing wrong with the food. I informed that it was more about the way that we where being treated and he said there was nothing that could be done. Look owe no one an explanation on how I handle my emotions but if I want to cry because I’m hungry I should be able to. I just want them to take responsibility for how we...

I just got kicked out of the place yesterday by manager due to my review below. Instead of trying to resolve issues they said I was not welcome. This reflects other similar reviews I've seen, it's more of a club. I will miss the place and people I've met there. It still has potential, but I found another place nearby which has outdoor area and great food, in Sunnyvale, Settler's Table.

Food is usually great, service for me is slow overall. I love the boiled shrimp, salmon w/spinach, yard bird, sweet potato fries, brisket grilled cheese, and steaks from their own meat store. Sometimes servers forget sides and other stuff, not the most experienced staff.

The outdoor area is the best for kids to run around and adults to hang out, until a recent incident involving a new manager confronting my wife and I about an exaggerated complaint by elderly lady about one of our kids - GM said she or owner would call but we missed one call by manager below and no further attempts were made.

Management is subpar and I see similar stories including my mother in law being asked to sit in a far corner (outside area) when 8 other open tables were available, plus it was out of view of our kids playing. I advised management (as usual) that we need to move to closer table near kids and I saw no reason why not and he immediately "let" us move. Supposedly tables were reserved (no labels), and they never filled up!

Seems to be general confusion/inefficiency throughout, and a little impersonal if you're not "on the list"; I met several first timers who wonder what is going on?, and feeling forgotten. Some hostess and servers quite "inexperienced". Management including GM, excels in making excuses for whatever issue (including piece of glass in my son's drink) and catering to locals and owner's people.

Overall the place has some great aspects such as physical appearance and the patrons I meet and...
