Metro City Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

We used to come here regularly before the pandemic. During the pandemic we ordered takeout, and now, we do both takeout and eat in the restaurant.

The last two times, the service was extremely slow. Last time, for a takeout order, and it took 40 minutes for the food to be ready, so I had to wait a while, 15-20 min past when the food was expected to be ready. One dish was hot and good, the other had already gone cold.

Today we ate in the restaurant. The food took about 25 minutes to arrive at our table after we ordered. It was hit or miss. Some of the food was good and some not very good at all.

I get that they're short-staffed, but it was Saturday at lunchtime, and although we were willing to wait, we expected better...

The place is very spacious, with rustic vibes, pool tables and nice music of the old days! Be ready for a lot of memories to come to you with the tunes! Awesome people. Try their garlic fries, awesome!

The night we were there it had a smell to it but not sure if it’s always like that!

I love metro city and the staff here!! My fiancé and I have been coming for breakfast & lunch and each visit is always just as delicious and amazing!
