I expressed my interest in getting a manicure and lash lift to a family member who recommended this place for the former but mentioned this place also offers the latter. I was really pleased with the manicure I received; I didn’t seek a particular person but after showing an inspiration pic, they were able to give me the style I wanted. This included regular check-ins such as whether I liked the shape she filed my nails into, the color of polish, the thickness of the white tips. I will say, I am a climber and I have never been a spa/salon person; I’ve probably gotten less than half a dozen manicures my whole life, so I was not used to the slight pain that came from fixing up my cuticles but it was worth it to see my nails so cleaned up! The full manicure does not compare to the ones I had gotten as a teenager; it looked literally perfect with no empty edges and not caked on so it still felt pretty natural. Speaking of, it was neat that my natural nails were used for shaping, I only wish I had let them grow out a bit more before my visit. As for the lash lift, I’ll just say it was my first time getting any kind of lash work and I was so disappointed by the service and execution that I probably won’t be giving it another shot; immediately after the tech finished, the effect was rather subtle on my typically-stick-straight lashes, but I approved. Then disappointingly by the time I got home it was all gone on one side and barely noticeable on the other. In general, I didn’t feel as comfortable and at ease here as I expected, but it was tolerable and the nail service is excellent (albeit expensive) so I may return once or twice...
Read more$190 (including tip) for 2 people's appointments (booked under my name). 1 was supposed to be a art design and the other was just a cat eye. I said in the beginning when walking into our appt that my friend's is a nail art, but they still mixed up both of us.
Mines was a cat eye design with a color on the top half and the bottom half just had a nude pink. Is this still considered nail art? I don't know, but it was very simple. When making an appt, they want to receive the art design, which they did, and it was nothing like what I had. How did they not notice that what I wanted wasn't the design originally sent?
I finished first between the two of us, so I paid first for the both of us. My friend finished shortly after and all she had was a cat eye (it's her first time going), so she was confused when they said it was done and she didn't get the design she wanted. All they were able to do was put a bit of gold for the French tip on top afterwards due to time. They didn't ask for more money for that, but I still feel like I paid too much for them.
Also side note, I noticed that my nail tech didn't wear gloves, but the other ones did have it, and the nail oil they used at the end, the applicator (that was in the nail oil bottle) was put on directly on my nails/fingers. Who knows how many people had that put on as well. Even in skincare, you'd know that that can lead to mold.
I'm very dissatisfied and I...
Read moreThis is not cool…I’ve been here a few times and usually any of the techs are fine for a basic gel manicure, but this is the third time I’ve been here for something basic and the newer techs always get the nail shape completely wrong (my nails literally look crooked) and the gel is too thick for a natural length. I asked for oval shaped nails bc they were short and this girl literally gives me itty bitty cat claws— how she managed to get an almond out of normal nail length baffles me, they are the stubbiest almonds you’ve ever seen. The language barrier made it extremely difficult for us to communicate and it felt like she kept brushing me off when I corrected her.
The paint job was great honestly, very neat ombre, but the gel are thick lumps on the ends of my fingers. New techs need to slow down when they shape nails and PLEASE double check when you ask for short nail shapes...I still can’t believe how thick this gel is. My fingers don’t look dainty at all. The newer inexperienced girls should not be charging this high to practice on clients!! Ever since they expanded to a second location this has been happening and the quality has been so off. I paid almost $100 and am really unhappy. Will not be...
