Had a good lunch at Siam Taste the other day. I don’t recall if there was a lunch special menu but the two of us ended up getting three dishes ala carte. Spring rolls with shrimp as appetizers. Man these were plump and big! Comes with six pieces and dipping sauce. Pretty good, especially if you like fresh mint leaves flavor. Next dish was Penang curry I believe. Or some kind of curry anyway. Tasty sauce but could have used a bit more chicken. Also a little thick for me. And it wasn’t served hot enough (temperature, not spice). Final dish was broccoli and beef. This was a unique one for me as I’m used to the Chinese version and this definitely had a different type of sauce/flavor. Again very thick sauce and was kind of lukewarm temperature. The service was good. The place was old but clean. Pleasant. They service food on nice dishware. Three dishes plus tax and tip was pretty expensive over $70 for a weekday lunch with only water to drink. This kind of drove my star rating.

Went to lunch with the old friend here and lunch was great the chicken was off the hook in the appetizer with the peanut sauce was something I’ve never had before. I think next time I will bring my wife and sister because they love Thai food the most. I think this is the best Thai food I have ever experienced. I also had a great milkshake Thai style T that was so good. Next time I go I’ll definitely come right after the lunch rush. I told my friend that I love the chicken and that the next time he brings me I hope he’ll order the same thing for me the menu was quite extensive and I had to pick out things with his help

I can’t believe how bad this place is! It was quite empty when we walked in but we were hungry and craving Thai so we stopped here. Ordered a vegetarian stir fry, panang curry, green curry and cod wrapped in banana leaf. Everything was so spicy and hit our throat though we consistently ordered a level 3. The green curry was not palatable and basically the taste was subpar. Also, came out to 18$ per person. Also, the service staff was quite rude. The only way you can get “goodthaifood” in this place is if you connect to the WiFi because that’s the password for their WiFi. Would not recommend.

I am beyond thrilled to share my enthusiastic recommendation for "Siam Taste" – a hidden gem that has captured my heart and taste buds! If you're a fan of exquisite Thai cuisine, you simply cannot miss this place.

First and foremost, let's talk about their egg noodle soups. Oh my goodness, they are a flavor explosion in a bowl! The rich and aromatic broth paired with perfectly cooked egg noodles is a match made in heaven. It's the ultimate comfort food that warms your soul with every slurp.

Now, let's move on to their pot stickers. These little pockets of joy are crispy on the outside, and when you take that first bite, you're greeted with a burst of deliciousness. The filling is divine, and the dipping sauce they serve them with is the perfect accompaniment. You won't be able to stop at just one!

And then there's the pineapple fried rice. It's like a party in your mouth! The combination of sweet pineapple, savory rice, and a hint of spice is an absolute delight. It's the kind of dish that keeps you coming back for more.

But the grand finale has to be their sticky mango desserts. These are a heavenly treat that will make your taste buds dance with joy. The sweet, sticky rice paired with perfectly ripe mango slices is pure bliss. It's the ideal way to end your meal on a sweet note.

What I love most about Siam Taste is that their Thai food is not only delicious but also just the right amount of spicy. They manage to strike that perfect balance where you get the kick of spice without it overpowering the flavors. It's a testament to their culinary expertise.

If I lived just a tiny bit closer to Siam Taste, I would be there every day without a doubt. It's a place that not only satisfies your cravings but also leaves you with a feeling of pure culinary satisfaction. So, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. Your taste buds will thank you, and you'll find yourself craving Siam Taste's delectable offerings...

When I was working in Mountain View, I visited this restaurant every few months to meet up over lunch with a former colleague, who worked in Sunnyvale down the street from this restaurant at the time. We both enjoyed vegetarian Thai food and this place offered efficient service and practically no rush/wait on weekdays. The vegetarian options were plenty and prices were very reasonable, but I almost always got their mild yellow curry with soft tofu and a side of brown rice. The dish was always well prepared and I could usually even box a small portion for a late afternoon snack at my desk. Since I was driving from downtown MTV (Castro street) on a weekday, it worked out well that access to Murphy street from my workplace through Evelyn Avenue was a low-traffic route with few traffic lights, typically no more than 15 mins each way leaving time for parking on either end. The parking lot at the end of Murphy street is where I usually parked and there was invariably no dearth of parking spots. There were also benches where I could wait for my colleague to meet me after I texted that I had found a...

ATTENTION OWNERS & COOKS. -My roasted duck panang curry was much more expensive than my other items, but the duck pieces were soggy and tasteless, the pieces melted into the background of the other flavors. If you are going to have a premium ingredient, make sure it stands out! There is literally no benefit to ordering that more expensive item as opposed to something like chicken which is 4 or $5 cheaper. Grill the duck and put the pieces in afterwards, using only a small portion of the duck/duckfat to flavor the curry. My steamed vegetables were literally just steamed vegetables. They were not sauced or seasoned. If you are going to charge $4 for a single serving of vegetables, do something with the vegetables! Don't just put them on a steamer and hand them to me. I'm going to a restaurant and paying a premium. I'm not asking an au-pair to prepare something from a bag in the pantry. Step it up or you won't survive your downtown location, guys! Your servers are friendly and diligent enough. Give them a restaurant worth serving. Give the restaurant food good...
