April 8, I went to this place as I usually do with my buddy. We both were in military uniforms. My buddy ordered first and received the military discount. Then, when it was my turn, the worker did not extend the same offer. At first, I didn’t want make any fuss about it. But, as he handed my order to me, he didn’t even say “thank you for your service” when I clearly heard him say it to my buddy as he handed the order 5 minutes earlier.

At first, I wanted to make sure that my charges were incorrect, so, I went inside to look at the menu on the wall to double check the price of sandwich I ordered which is $8.49. Then, he even had the nerve to ask me if I wanted one more sandwich. That’s when I went up to the same cashier and told him that the price of my buddy’s sandwich and mine are same. While his total charge was $9 and some change included chips and drink, but mine was $11.71 which means he charged me for the chips and drink.

I told him that I have always been coming to this restaurant and that I have always been extended the military discount without saying any words. Then, he said that he remembered charging me for those items and gave me the difference in cash.

I have now the mixed feelings about this place now. I don’t want to think that that cashier was being racist; but it just doesn’t feel good when an Asian in uniform is being treated differently compared to how he treated my buddy who is...

Wow - one of the best Sandwich spots we have found in the entire Bay Area. 5 stars for freshness of the bread, the creativity of the sandwiches, the amazing taste, great staff, and awesome outdoor area you can enjoy your sandwich in. We will definitely be returning. Come here if you're looking for a great sandwich for a good price, in a good area.

[The Food] We were really impressed with the freshness of the bread. We tried the sourdough and almost got another one! They have plenty of offerings ranging from healthy and delicious - to maybe not so healthy but equally delicious. We really enjoyed this place and will be returning! We recommend the Pesto Chicken sandwich or the spicy chicken. I mean, it's hard to recommend one because they all sounded so amazing. Try for yourself!

[The Area] This is located one street over from Murphy Street, which is the main downtown area of Sunnyvale. It's located in a wide open plaza where you can eat and walk around. There isn't a lot of people or trouble in this area. It's really quiet. Plenty of places to sit and eat.

[The Service] Customer service here was great! Everyone was super nice to us. The prices were definitely fair. I think we paid 21 dollars or so for 2 good size sandwiches.

In conclusion, we will be returning. This is one of the top sandwich spots in the Bay Area, without...

Great sandwiches! However, it should never take 40+ minutes to make a sandwich. I spent my lunch hour waiting for a sandwich that never got made. Had to cancel my order and ask for my money back because you took so long. Funny thing is I went to this place because I thought it would be quickest. You all need to figure out how to handle the lunch time rush better. You took on new orders for 15 minutes straight without producing a single sandwich for any of your customers in the store. The kitchen was prioritizing large online orders. I get that this is a large customer base for you all, but throw out some disclaimers to customers walking in that you're 50+ sandwiches behind schedule. I would have gladly gone somewhere else to eat. Now I'm still hungry, back at work, pissed off, and writing this review. It was my fault for sticking around as long as I did but the people working behind the counter kept saying that the sandwich would be ready any minute. You permanently lost a customer today. Get your...

It was my first time at this sandwich shop. I was excited to try the "California" ... Unfortunately, it came with NO FRESH Ingredients ... wilty lettuce, I could not see or taste any avocado... the tomato was soft, not fresh or crisp but soggy and wilty like the lettuce. The bottom sandwich roll was soggy as hell too. I gave it 2 stars for the taste. Putting the soggy and wilty mess aside, it did have flavor, good flavor with herbs. I liked that part. Will I go back, I'm honestly not sure. B+ for Taste D- for soggy, wilty, bread, lettuce, and tomatoes F ... Failed to give me avocado, a smear... no not worth to go back. Sliced avocado is worth the $9 price tag. Pictures say a lot. Take a look and decide...

I've heard about the Don's Deli from my old pal Stinky Wedemeyer, and since I'm in Sunnyvale with my pal Thelonious Grumpsteller helping him out with issues he's got with his neighbor's Honey Badger tearing up his Pinkalilly patch, I'll be going there for sure. Well, it's a first for me having to deal with a Honey Badger, they're nasty little creatures, and almost as mean as Ol Mable Spinticket, so I'll just do the same to it as I did to Mabel...I put a handful of chopped up Ghost Peppers in it mouth. He won't be back, that's for sure. Man-O-Man, that Don's Deli sure makes a great sandwich, it was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
