Our visit was subpar at best. The girls from work went out to celebrate an engagement and a birthday. We arrived at 6:15 and they sat us outback. Our waitress was Angelica and if anyone seemed to dislike her job OR she was new or on something. She was not enthusiastic, happy, or even welcoming. We inquired about happy hour specials and she had no idea. She went inside to ask and she returned 20 minutes later to tell us " we have no specials". So a few of us ordered drinks which 3 of us received our drinks 20 minutes later. The other drinks came shortly there after. At 7:00 we informed our waitress that we wanted another round before "Happy Hour" ended. She then disappeared again. When she returned we informed her we wanted to order she then proceeded to write our orders on a piece of paper. We knew then it was going to be a problem. At 8:10 ....1 hour later our food appeared. Well, Not all our food!! 2 of us didn't get our wings only the fries...COLD fries. 1 of us ordered pasta and when it arrived it was a pool of milky water...GrOSS! A gentlemen came out to help with the delivery of the food, he didn't have much to say when we informed him some of our orders are wrong or incomplete. The soup was so salty , it got returned. The pasta was gross, it got returned, the 2 orders that did not receive their wings got cancelled. We had already been there 2 hours and we could not wait to leave. At one point another waitress came out to bring something to our table her face covering was not on correctly. Now it was time to pay....Our waitress who "wrote" everything on a piece of paper had no clue what anyone had ordered so we spent the next few minutes placing our order AGAIN... Our Entire experience was a TOTAL disappointment. We work for a family owned business and we could have gone anywhere, but we decided to have our celebration get together at your establishment and with great disappointment we will NOT be back. I feel that during this time whenever people chose to go out to eat the establishments should be at their 100% with service and hospitality and the food. We tried to figure out who was to blame for the poor service and food quality and service. We didn't come into contact with anyone who seemed to care we had these problems. I do know that other tables were also experiencing the same problems as us. As we were leaving the waitress with the face covering problem asked us "was everything ok?" We all felt your establishment FAILED...
Read moreMy Pal Max suggested Love N Oven in Sunrise FL last night. & this restaurant is the very first restaurant I have visited since “post covid that was just like things were before covid. It was the people there last night also that made it special. They have a back patio full of tv’s, lights & smiles that certainly makes this place come alive. For months we been going out at night to these places THAT BECAME SO LAME by closing at 11 after covid. Last night on Friday night was karaoke night I guess. And love any type live entertainment. Any person that can get up & sing live in front of others is truly my hero. Heidi served us super duper well & Jackie, another server sung like a Star* with true passion & an amazing voice. Also: not only did I work at the original Love N Oven owned by Mike Dekinger when I was 16 rolling up dough balls and washing dishes in plantation; but as time passed, I had fruit de mer (fruit if the sea) pizza in Nice,in the south of France as well as fresh margarita pizza in Florence italy with fresh grown basil & locally made mozzarella to die for. In the art of pizza making, it’s usually only 3 things that make a pizza spectacular unless they make their own sausage in house like Joe’s in Northampton or Rays in Manhattan making that number a 4. The 3 are the dough, the sauce & the chef = how it’s baked. Maybe they use King Arthur flour here luke Rays. Outstanding pizza making is an art” AND THE PIZZA HERE IS SPECTACULAR” ….. Hows that? Biting into that flaky crust reminded me of filo dough almost not in taste but in the layers of texture, and the sauce was a perfect compliment also. Toppings were plentiful but not overdone, so you could taste the different toppings bite after bite : ) the overall experience was 5 stars & thumbs up all the way across the board. There was nothing not to like. Drinks are prices right also : ) so if your land lubed out” or if legends has no more stories to tell then just doesn't seem that interesting anymore then come come down nob hill road to sunset strip & you’ll find Loven Oven. And guess what? you’ll feel right at home there.
5 STARS * for Loven Oven in Sunrise

Read moreThis review is for my latest visit/takeout. First off, I frequent this establishment often and think it’s pretty good. Always a solid go to place. However, my last experience is very different. The first manager I spoke with, Charles, tried his best to help me but the problem came from Debbie, who absolutely dropped the ball and couldn’t make their wrong a right. Bottom line is the day before I needed food I clearly ordered three large pizzas and 100 teriyaki wings to go for the following day at a 2:30pm pickup. When I arrived, they brought out three pizzas and said is there anything else we can help you with. I said yes, 100 wings were also ordered. They forgot, OK, made the wings and I left with 100 piping hot wings and three cold pizzas after waiting over 15 minutes for the wings. Now, I get home, three cold pizzas and 100 hot PLAIN wings, no seasoning no sauce just plain wings, no teriyaki. The restaurant said, come back and we can toss them for you. I said no, I will fix them by adding BBQ sauce or something else, I all ready have three cold pizzas and do not want to add cold wings by the time I get back to my party where I had a houseful of friends that were hungry. That being said, the wings were nothing that we ordered, the manager Charles acknowledged the mistake made by the restaurant and advised that the “higher manger, Debbie”, would reach out to me. No word from Debbie until I called her the evening later where she said she would give me a 25% discount the next time I visit. So wait, this is 75% my fault? You think there will be a next time when you can’t own your wrongdoings? 100% your fault, 100% unacceptable. I only wanted a refund or a full credit on the wings, as I mentioned earlier, I LIKE THIS PLACE. Or, did like it. I will now dispute the total bill of $163 with my credit card company and no longer choose you as one of my local dining choices. I wish you could have done the right thing and make this...
