Fresh arrogant service, the outside description of a 9.00 Banana Split was not what you get!! Argumenative when I spoke of it! Then when I paid for only one , they ripped me off on my change and yelled at me that I was wrong !! I paid with a 20 dollar bill!! I did not have a ten!! So I am owed 10 dollars ...the place was packed, the other employees where very busy helping other orders, one female worker said I didnt pay with a 20!!! How the heck did she see anything when she was busy???...sooo they are running some sort of scam there!!! Trust me when I say, I worked in the restaurant business for many yesrs....I never seen such disrespect towards a customer!! I do not need money!! Its the principal....I am appalled!! Wont go here ever again!! Half star!!!👎I feel totally...

I remember going to the Big Dipper years ago as a kid. It hasn’t changed much, and that’s a good thing! They still have awesome ice cream options, quick service, and a friendly staff. And the serving sizes are very generous! For us, a single scoop was more than enough…just as I remember years ago.

Prices were reasonable, and they accept credit cards. We arrived and the line was out the door and almost around the corner, but we were served in a little over 10 minutes. Make sure to bring some cash for tipping the servers who are college students on summer break.

Hope they continue to keep this LBI staple going...

Big Dipper is exactly what an ice cream spot should be…great flavors, generous portions, and fair prices. I saw some reviews complaining that they give too much ice cream, which honestly feels insane in today’s world where everything is getting more expensive. For around seven dollars, you get a massive cone that’s absolutely worth it. In my opinion, there’s no such thing as too much ice cream. They offer a wide variety of flavors, both soft and hard, and they do let you sample if it’s not too crowded. The ice cream itself is excellent, and I’d definitely recommend...
