I was really looking forward to eating at this place and my expectations were certainly met, perhaps even exceeded. The place is kind of small, with a section for sitting in and one for just purchasing for take out. However, the decor and general vibes of the place really pull through, helping to create a great atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, and I can’t stress that enough. I ordered the fried seafood combination, which came with fries and a side. It was extremely filling and extremely tasty, definitely ranking high on the quality tier. Everything just tasted so fresh and was cooked so well. Additionally, another person in my party ordered the Ipswich full belly clams, and they were just so good. They were clean, fresh and cooked so perfectly, I really can’t compare it to anything else.
Also, the service was just top notch. Our waitress was extremely friendly, and was helpful in ordering and everything else. Our cups were never empty and our table was never cluttered. The service was way better than most places, which contributed to a great dining experience.
Overall, with a nice atmosphere, delicious food and outstanding service, Boulevard Clams sticks in my mind as an extremely great place that I definitely recommend to anybody. I will most definitely be back the next opportunity...
Read moreI came in expecting a well made seafood combo - especially since it's in an area bounded by fish shops - but what I received was the contrary. You have the option for either fried or broiled combo but for healthier reasons, I chose the latter. According to the menu, it has "local scallops, jumbo shrimp, flounder fillet, and stuffed clam" all for about $22.99. First off scallops weren't well cleaned as they had some shell pieces on it for some reason, only 2 pieces of scallops, and they were cold. The supposed "jumbo shrimp" were only 2 pieces of shrimp that, in reality, were the smallest ones I've ever seen; not even close to the term "jumbo". The flounder fillet was extremely small along with the stuff clam that was just a regular clam with some cheese on top. With the $22.99 I could've made 3 of those and wouldn't have to travel so far. Overall result, so much money for such poor quality and quantity. Would definitely recommend...
Read moreRegardless of some negative reviews, we chose to dine here on our recent visit to LBI. Not disappointed. We're seated quickly. It was around 5:40. Restaurant itself not crowded when we first arrived. Restaurant ambiance not impressive, but casual, & clean. In addition a seafood market with about 8 tables, so a tad cramped. However they also provide take out. We both started with lobster bisque. Great flavor, however for $8.99, would have liked a few chunks of lobster instead of a few flakes. We had steamed ipswich class that were very sandy! Shared fried seafood platters with a corn on cob. Corn was cold & fish barely Luke warm, but tasty. Scallops (2) on that dish we're awesome. Only desert on menu was key lime pie, of which we're not fans of, so we passed. The star of our meal was our server Kate! Very upbeat & attentive!! Would recommend. I'm sure they would have heated food, but we realized they...
