Star Donuts — Restaurant in Surprise

What a nice surprise to find..We were next door at the phone fix it place..I am a donut 🍩 holic... use to make the donuts for quick trip, yes all the quick trips in the valley and I am a Le Cordon Bleu trained Pastry Chef so I know a thing or two around yeast and cake. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed with these..they are soft and pillowy and tender plus fried to a pale golden perfection..no lingering oil flavor on your plate or stuck to the roof of your mouth (you know what I mean)..the glaze is perfectly thin to complement the donut nicely. The yeast risen donuts are done to perfection, from mixing to rising to rolling, cutting and proofing a final time before frying. It is not pushed or rushed and you can see the baker is a master at his or her craft, My Chef hats off to you!!!! Keep up the good work..great customer service and your selection and pricing is on point...we will definitely be...

This is a small mom and pop shop but they have the best doughnuts. I’m simple when it comes to doughnuts I like the basics cinnamon roll, glazed twists, glazed donuts and the cake doughnut they have the best glaze as it always seem to stay on the donut most places I’ve been to it always falls off. I hate to say this, but it’s time I go there I eat about eight donuts at a time at least and puts me in a food coma but wow it’s good. The main problem with this place they will close for a couple of weeks to a month so I have found a new place and they have excellent donuts also. I lowered the star rating because of the closing. I live far from everything and I do not mind making a drive for something I like but when you get there and find places closed is very upsetting so now Sunrise donuts is now my go to place. It was a 24 mile round trip now it is a 28...
