Gabriel's Pizza — Restaurant in Susquehanna Township

Was a regular at this so-so pizza shop, only because it's close to my house, I never was left with the feeling of having a good meal. It would be better if the food there was fresh and not sitting around all day. Today I went there and ordered two slices of mushroom. They were so small they both literally could sit comfortable in the palm of my hand. When I asked about the size of the pizzas the owner just rudely told me I could go somewhere else. Trust me after spending so much money in one place I would never use them again. So I went down the street to Brothers on division and got two real slices. On the way home I stopped back there and showed them what two slices should look like. Then I was accused of trying to get free food. After years of getting food there I never asked for anything free there or anywhere else. They're the ones with the tip jar on the counter. The service is the shining star of this establishment; the woman behind the counter is really very friendly - Always welcoming and helpful. Although, the food is lackluster at best. The mediocre, and dare I say it, bland, pizza is also too thin, overly chewy and tasteless. I have now ordered the burria tacos (twice, just to make sure it wasn't an off day for the kitchen) and they are yummy where the meat’s flavor profile is concerned - But the shells are not dipped so the texture is off, the pico’s flavor is horrible (all of my coworkers who favor spicy foods have complained of unbalanced/ inedible heat so far) and there isn't any warm meat-based dipping sauce accompaniment as is the norm for burria tacos. I have absolutely zero idea of why anyone would rate this restaurant anything less than five stars. I have been ordering from them for about four years or so and I have never encountered anything other than amazing service, delicious food, fast delivery, and great prices. The quality is great and they are so friendly. They are family owned which is even better. I have even asked for special requests on food and they have always done it and without any complaint.
