The first issue here is your blatant denial of the facts presented in my wife's review. Let me make it crystal clear the food was exactly as described, and we have no reason to fabricate anything. If the calamari “wasn’t sent out like that,” then who exactly is responsible? Are you implying that we tampered with it ourselves? That’s both insulting and absurd. The moment we pulled the calamari out of the brown paper bag, we called you immediately. There was no delay, no embellishment, just a simple recounting of what we received.

Your response is a textbook example of gaslighting, attempting to deflect blame onto us instead of owning up to the issue. Offering to redo the calamari is not the solution when the problem is your restaurant’s consistent failure to deliver quality food. Why would we trust you to make it right when this is the third time you’ve let us down? Let’s revisit the history:

The first time we ordered, the pasta and clams were salty they were inedible.

The second time, the buffalo chicken wings arrived completely unseasoned... no flavor, no effort, just dumped in a fryer.

And now, this time, the calamari was overcooked, rubbery, burnt, and completely dried out.

AND just be glad that we only mentioned the calamari, because the pizza was cold but that's not the focus here.

How, exactly, are we the problem here? We gave you three chances, more than most people would.

To address your other claims, we did not yell at any point. Were we annoyed? Absolutely, but our frustration was expressed respectfully. Additionally, your claim that my wife hung up on you is completely false. Both parties said “have a great night” before ending the call. Misrepresenting the situation in your response is not only dishonest but incredibly unprofessional.

Instead of making excuses and turning this back on the customer, perhaps you should focus on fixing the systemic issues in your kitchen. It’s clear there are major problems with your back-of-house operations. Consider implementing proper pre-meal preparation (mise en place) and training your cooks to execute dishes with consistency and care. Until those issues are addressed, you’ll continue to disappoint customers like us.

We gave you the opportunity to make things right through constructive criticism, but instead, you chose to lie, deflect, and gaslight. That’s on you. And no, we don’t have to worry about finding the “perfect” place because that certainly won’t...

We decided to order from Brothers Pizza & Italian Restaurant tonight to celebrate my husband’s birthday, hoping for a relaxing night in with good food. What we received, however, was beyond unacceptable. The calamari we ordered was burned to a crisp, had no breading, and was extremely rubbery and overcooked. The smell alone was nauseating, and the texture was so dried out it was inedible. It’s outrageous that this dish ever left the kitchen in this condition.

As a professionally trained chef, I understand what quality food should look and taste like, and this was an embarrassment. Not only was it poorly prepared, but the carelessness was glaring. This wasn’t a slight mistake, it was negligence. To make matters worse, this isn’t the first time we’ve been let down by this restaurant. This is our THIRD attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt, and each time the food has been insipid, poorly executed, and downright disgusting. We’ve tried to handle it with grace, but enough is enough.

When we called to request a refund, we were informed that because we ordered online through a third-party platform, we’d have to “jump through hoops” to get our money back. The restaurant, apparently, can’t do anything to fix their own mistakes. This lack of accountability is appalling. It adds insult to injury to not only receive inedible food but to also be told there’s no immediate resolution.

To anyone considering ordering from here: think twice. I’m literally sick to my stomach from the experience, both figuratively and literally. This kind of poor service and subpar food preparation shouldn’t be tolerated. Restaurants should hold themselves to higher standards, especially when it comes to food safety and quality. Tonight, Brothers Pizza & Italian Restaurant failed miserably on both counts.

I sincerely hope management takes this review seriously and reconsiders their approach to food quality and customer service. This was a complete disaster, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Avoid...

Randomly stopped in one evening. They had whatever slices were left (as expected). I got 1 pep and 1 sausage Togo. Pizza was great! People were very nice. I feel so bad to see these BS reviews hammering this place!!!! MAYBE dont order seafood from a pizza shop for your husbands birthday ( unless you like your boyfriend more 🤷‍♂️ then it was a great way to show your husband how you feel ) ! Esp being “a professionally trained chef” one would think you would have more knowledge of the food industry and what to expect. Anyway I was shopping at achme and was hungry for pizza. I decided to try brothers pizza and I was very happy I did !!!! Pizza is amazing ! Service is amazing !!! I paid cash ……. I had no issues ! Lady at register was very polite and warm! In my opinion, this is a family owned business, one of the few great ones that need to be cherished and appreciated!! I suggest the upset reviewer and her husband try “blu point “ or something comparable on future birthdays !!!! BROTHERS PIZZA MAKES GREAT PIZZA AND ITALIAN DISHES !!!!! It is not called brothers pizza and fresh...

Moved to Wantage, NJ in November 21'. Brother's Pizza was the first food my family and friends had after a long day of moving. The lady on the phone was pleasant and sympathetic to our transient condition offering us plates, napkins, utensils, and cups. They even remembered us on the next ordered and asked if we were settling in okay, a nice touch. We've ordered here several times and regardless of the day of the week our order is always correct, delivered with a smile, and arrives within a reasonable amount of time. Our very first order came with a welcome note that was handwritten welcoming us to the neighborhood, also a very nice touch. I'm big on loyalty but have given a couple other local pizza shops a go...hands down, sticking with Brother's for the timing, quality, and accuracy.
