1 sentence review: Exactly the same as McDonalds, but just more expensive This is not a negative review out of spite, but of disappointment. I have recently moved to Georgia, and I've been searching for a good burger for a while. I tried 2 burgers (Classic + Rodeo), and the comparison between the actual burgers vs the pictures online can be seen in the pictures. If you thought McDonalds pictures vs reality was bad, wait until you see this place. My hand is pretty small, and both of these burgers easily can fit in the palm of my hand. The height of both burgers were exactly the same (which is insane), measuring to around 3 cm. You can imagine how thin the patties were. The taste? It tasted EXACTLY like McDonalds, but the prices are much more expensive here. What made this worse was the fact that when I added sides w/ dipping sauces, for which 1 sauce is complementary per side in online ordering. However the casher (who I believe is the owner) added it as extra cost for both sauces ($1+), and I could see from the expression on his face that he knew exactly what he was doing. This is a franchise restaurant, so store policies regarding things like these should be the same. To be honest, I'm not too bothered by the extra fee he added on by this, but his attitude regarding this is what irked me. Finally, the cleanliness of the restaurant was pretty disgusting. I know this is a burger joint, so I'm not expecting a dine-in level sanitation. Still, I could see how dirty this place was even though the restaurant is very dim inside.
Suggestion for anyone who sees this review: If you want a decent burger nearby, I would suggest Craft burger. They may be on average (~$2) extra, but the price difference is SO worth it. The patties are at least 2.5x compared to this place, and the resulting burger looks very similar to the pictures themselves online. They do not try to sneak in additional costs, and the establishment seems to...
Read moreIt took me a while to get over to try this place, but it’s been on my list for a bit. It was worth the wait! Arriving during non rush hours (2:30) I found them to not be busy at all, which allowed me to place my order rather quickly. The woman taking my order was super friendly, even answering some questions I had about their milkshakes without getting frustrated. I take my burgers pretty seriously & have been known to go out of my way to get one! I ordered a classic (double meat & double cheese) with just cheese, onion & pickle, which is exactly how they gave it to me!! For my side I chose the tater tots which were fried to perfection! My shake of choice was chocolate banana, I added a strawberry banana shake on the side for my wife. We both thought the shakes were pretty good. They don’t actually have flavored ice cream, but add the flavors to regular ice cream, but that’s not a complaint, as the fruit flavors were spot on. My order was prepared in just a few minutes & I was out of there in less than 8 min total, from the time I came in, that’s better than “fast food” places that have subpar food! All in all, this is definitely a great burger spot, one that I will revisit again when I’m around the area. Overall the restaurant was clean, you can tell the constantly wipe down & clean in the cooking area, everything being tidy. Thanks for not disappointing!! I definitely recommend Wayback Burgers if you want a delicious...
Read moreThe hubs and I were in Georgia for the past week for certification classes for the hubs and I was craving a burger tonight. I Googled burgers near us and quite a few popped up. I ultimately chose Wayback because of the menu and the pictures. The burger I chose was the cheeeessssy burger and a side of tots. The hubs had the double bacon burger and a side of chili cheese fries. HANDS DOWN the BEST BURGER I have EVER had. The meat melted in your mouth, the bun was cooked perfectly and the cheese...oh the cheese...lots of it and creamy and melty...PERFECTION. I only have pickles and mustard on mine because if I wanted a salad I would order one!! This burger was 100% perfection!!! The hubs agreed...his was also the BEST burger he has ever had also. The meat again, seasoned perfectly snd so tender it melts in your mouth. The right amount of bacon and cheese...he likes a salad on his so he had the lettuce and tomatoes...the only thing we're the fries weren't very tasty...the chili was...but with how good the burger was the fries were a little bit of a let down. I wish they had been house made instead of the frozen, that were over cooked and a little cold. But that isn't going to stop me from giving Wayback a 5 star!!! I went for the burger and it was DELICIOUS...if we come back to Georgia we will...
