China Express — Restaurant in Sylvan Lake

Ordered delivery through Uber eats. I ordered the orange chicken combo with white rice and an egg roll as well as beef lo mein. The orange chicken was soggy and breading was thick and slimy almost. The sauce was bland. The “lo mein”was the furthest thing from lo mein I have ever seen. Noodles were undercooked and there was 3 slices of beef and 1 snap pee in the whole mix. All the sauce was at the bottom of the box and not stuck to the noodles at all. The plain noodles tasted better than the sauce anyway. The egg roll looked like it was going to be the saving grace but one bite in and I was just as disappointed. The filling was sour in a bad way and was hard to even chew through. I have never had take out this terrible.The only thing good about the whole meal was the white rice (and that’s not saying much). Soup was good, bag of noodles (the good kind) provided. Kung Pao chicken I ordered was drowned in a sauce with very little chicken, some sort of bean, 3 packets of soy sauce. More importantly I ordered the dish spicy-hot and marked as such. What I received was not remotely close to SPICY HOT nor was there any taste at all, especially being drowned on a not so good sauce. I purchased extra bags of soup noodles so on me, but $2.50 a bag. Come on. I don't recommend, trying to find a decent Chinese take out (not Thai) near me. A while lot of awesomeness here. I have been before, not impressed. But under new management, wow! What a huge difference management makes. They made a huge come-back with the service and food. They do thing a little different here. General Tsos chicken isn't small pieces, it is fresh chicken breasts. 😋 Everything was hot and just amazing. Shocked me compared to the old place. 1000x better, good job guys on reviving a hole in the wall to a great place to eat with family and a quick stop for lunch. 1 plate or 10, you won't be disappointed.
