*Food: Food came quickly and offered a nice range of Italian based meals, both covering your normal dishes as well more adventurous twists. We even got lucky enough to meet one of the Chefs that evening. Price was medium range, not cheapo $5-10 fast food fake Italian meals but also not $30-100 fancy. Just right for a nice evening out of the house when you don’t want to be disappointed in lousy lack luster food. Their food is cooked with a fire stove that is a centerpiece when you first walk in the door which is pretty neat. Food portions were plentiful, they did not skimp. There were 4 desserts to choose from, our group managed to choose 3 and we were not disappointed. The flavor profiles definitely popped and spoke for themselves. I noticed they offered a gluten free option as well.
*Service: Our hostess and waitress were both pleasant. Even as it got busy, our waitress let us know ahead of time that she would be back and to flag her down at any point. She answered all our questions and she even made me an off-menu mocktail which was amazing.
*Environment: Clean and friendly environment. This seemed like you could show up in both comfy clothes as well as get dressed up. The music was both feel good hits old Frank Sinatra style sophisticated. Ambiance was amber lighting with lots of fun decor everywhere which gave a lot of character. Bathrooms were clean. They do offer a “Rose Room” area which is a mostly secluded room for a larger guest reservation ( around 8, possibly more if you call).
Overall, would definitely come back here without question. So many other items to try off the menu. It won’t be long till I believe this unknown gem is found and always busy and reservation only. We had family visit out of town that thanked us for taking them here. Next time we want to check out the neighboring business...
Read more**Editing again to say we went back, on a busy Saturday night and have a fabulous meal. We sat at the bar and had great food and tremendous service. Definitely one of our go-to places for good food.
*Editing this to say that I spoke with the owner and we had a great conversation about the restaurant and the struggles every food establishment is having at this time. There was clearly some miscommunications going on with the kitchen that evening. I will definitely go back.
I suggested some friends eat here last night after having two good carry out experiences. I was slightly embarrassed. The food was tasty but the kitchen must be having some real issues.
We ordered pizza and salad and asked that they come at the same time. The pizza came first and was room temp at best. We were starving so we ate it. Two antipasto salads arrived 30 min later. I can’t understand how that timing could be so off.
One of the people requested chicken parm but with no red sauce. We were told that they can’t do they can’t do the chicken without the sauce because it comes to them with the sauce. So what does that mean? They are buying prepackaged and precooked food? That confused us.
Our pizza was good and the salad was good but they really need to work on...
Read moreMy first trip to this restaurant my friends and I attended live bait, the seafood side of the restaurant. Granted they had recently opened but it took a ridiculous amount of time to receive our drink order and the food was less than stellar, the waitress served us the wrong entrees rang in the incorrect fish, for three of us, which had no flavor and was so overcooked it was like rubber, I would not spend my money at Live Bait. Tonight, we went to Goomah hoping for a better experience. The service was much better than our last experience but the food was mediocre at best. My partner had the magherita pizza, it was under cooked and the sauce was not good. I had Cacio e Pepe, a black pepper pasta the tasted like nothing more than pasta water w butter/oil on it, I even added salt and pepper to it at the table! The restaurant offers no bread, you have to order, “bread service” for $8 that comes w two types of bread and some oil, w cheese, red pepper flakes, and roasted garlic added to it. Be a decent restaurant and offer a bread basket to your patrons as opposed to charging them. They also don’t offer freshly grated Parmesan for pasta dishes or any of the entrees. Mediocre at best, spend your money elsewhere, we...
