This place is absolutely amazing! It was our second time going, the first was last year around the same time as we only are in town for a week around the 4th and the first time made such an impression we had to come back! And after this time i"m sure we will AT LEAST once every time were in town! When we went it was a tad bit busy, and some people had been waiting on carry out orders for a bit, but it turns out the reason why is we unsuspectingly went on the very first day they opened since Covid. Our waitress was super nice and helpful! And the owner is the NICEST restaurant owner I've every met, LITERALLY running at some points to accommodate any and all guests needs! She felt so bad about the wait and the unprepared for rush of the first day back open, but honestly, some people did wait a little bit but i didn't see anyone waiting over 25 mins and we got our food out at absolute perfect times. The moment we got done with the soup the apps came out, right after apps the meal came out, and so on! And the food is AMAZING! The prices are a steal, certainly for the portions! All of us ate as much as we could and then some! And the evening was made even more amazing when the owner treated us, my three friends and I, to Japanese beer when we were the last people in the restaurant for the day as a combination apology for any wait (but again we barely waited and only were the last because we kept eating more and more) and a celebration of the first day reopening!!! That is the nicest treatment I've ever gotten in any restaurant! The owner told us how in the past 4 years they've been open they built a good name with the locals, very understandably, but seriously, if you've never been or you're from out of town looking for a nice treat of a dine in experience, GO HERE! You will not regret it, i...

Kiyomi Japanese Cuisine is truly a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Syracuse, Indiana. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home.

The menu offers an impressive variety of authentic Japanese dishes, from beautifully crafted sushi rolls to hearty hibachi and bento box options. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately noticeable—each bite feels thoughtfully prepared. Favorites like the Wawasee Roll and the Volcano Roll are packed with flavor and creativity, while the teriyaki beef bento and shrimp hibachi offer satisfying, well-balanced meals.

Service is consistently attentive and efficient, whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout. The portions are generous, and the pricing is more than fair for the quality you receive. It’s clear the owners and staff take pride in what they do.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Kiyomi is absolutely worth a visit. It’s the kind of place you’ll find yourself returning to...

Giving a 1 star as we will never be back. Went a couple weeks ago. Busy and slow service. I can deal with the slow service when busy, but not when our server won't listen. As we are talking, she is walking away. Which made her have to make several trips to our table. One of us asked if a rice dish could be ordered as a half order, server said yes. OK good, because if not, we didn't want it. The order was large and charged for full order (barely ate any of it). When asked about the full charge the owner came over and said no we don't have half orders. Well, I'm sorry but your server said yes when we point blank asked her. So the owner said she would take half of it off, BUT WE HAD TO LEAVE THE LEFTOVERS. Excuse me what??? I sure hope they didn't plan on serving them to someone else. To me that is bad business and for that we will NEVER be back and will be sure to tell everyone. Food tasted good, but not good enough to come...

As always the food was great. It had been way to long since I'd been here and while traveling home late from work and the family already headed for their own food I took the opportunity. Never disappoints. The servers are very prompt and cordial but the owner! This lady is so customer service oriented that after I had ate, paid and walked out in 5 degree weather during snow fall she ran outside no coat as I was warming my truck just to ask if everything was good and tasted good. Said she was sorry she was so busy inside she didn't get a chance to speak to me then saw I was still in lot and had to come check on me. Super awesome friendly place to get Great Sushi soup and other food.

Awesome place. We came based on the reviews and were glad that we did. We ordered Miso soup, tuna roll, yellow tail and Kiyomi roll. The Miso soup was ok. No Seaweed, no tufo, and a bit watered down, but not as bad as some other places we've been. The Kiyomi (no cream cheese) was outstanding in every way! Tasty, ginormous, and flavorful! And the tuna and yellow tail were fresh, tasty and satisfying. By the time we finished our meal, the guests were lining up at the door and waiting for a table . . . On a Tuesday evening! Highly recommended.
