If I could rate our experience less than 1-star, I would. My significant other and I were seated and received our drinks rather quickly, but I noticed almost immediately something floating in my ice water. Our waiter never returned to take our order, so another waiter had to take over our table 15 minutes after we had been seated. There were about 7 tables seated inside and 3 tables outside with at least 5 waiters working, so not busy considering it’s Friday. At this point, our drinks were empty and we had finished our chips and salsa. I watched a table of 3 seated 20 minutes after we sat down receive there food before we did, as well as refills on their drinks. Our food came out about 50 minutes after we got there, and my boyfriend immediately noticed his was not correct. The waiter instead of getting a menu and checking for himself, proceeded to ask yet another waiter if his food looked correct, and then argued with my boyfriend instead of offering to fix the issue. I ordered cheese dip as an appetizer that I never received and he never offered to refill our drinks, chips, or salsa, meanwhile had plenty of time to chat on the patio with coworkers and be on his phone. He never even bothered to ask how our food was or bring our check, I had to go to the register to reconcile. This is one of the few times I did not feel bad about tipping less than 5%, and I still believe that was too much given the service and food we received. Unfortunate since this was one of our favorite places to eat. We will not be returning, nor recommending anyone to eat...
Read moreI wanted to give better stars to this place because the staff are so nice but there are a few things that just didn't do it for me. First, the parking. Pulling in, it was not real clear where the entrance was as there is no real distinction between any of the doors leading inside/outside. If you park in the wrong spot you could have a hefty walk through the mud. That leads me to the next point, the parking lot is not paved. The day I came was raining, not even that heavy of a rainy day, but regardless the parking lot was a mud pit so be careful where you walk and the shoes you are wearing. I didn't eat inside so I cannot comment on the service necessarily, however, the staff I did interact with were very friendly. I got the chimichangas. The chimichangas come with two, one beef and one chicken. I asked for them both to be beef. I also wanted a large horchata. The horchata, if it was large, was not very large. It was maybe 20 oz. Large horchata most places are at minimum 32 oz. Then I got back to my work only to find the chimichangas were not both beef, but instead, one beef and one chicken. Food was, eh, generic and not authentic at all. Very generic. The salsa was watery to the point it was not even able to be used with the chips, so instead I just poured it...
Read moreWe went on Friday August 29th and arrived around 8PM. While we were seated right away and the waiter took our drink order along with an order for some cheese dip, that's where everything went south. After bringing our drinks and cheese dip, we did not see our waiter again at our table. We could see him take other orders and return to those tables, but otherwise, nothing. After waiting for 45 minutes for our food, I approached the counter and asked for the manager. During that time, another customer had also asked for the manager. The manager never spoke to the other customer, she poked her head into the kitchen and stated they had been waiting for 1.5 hours for their food, which still had not come. When the manager did come out, he had an attitude with me when I stated how long we had been waiting and had not seen our waiter for at least a half hour at our table. I was rudely told that "Your food is coming" not even asking what we had ordered. If there were issues in the kitchen, we should have been told that up front right away. Communication is key, but last night Los Toritos did not have any of that. We will definitely think twice before...
