I just received my $600 stimulus check and the first thing I did was order from my favorite local restaurant, Spanky Burger & Brew. I've not been able to afford this in some time and was pleasantly surprised. (I've had a few food prep/delivery experiences in the past that weren't the best although the quality of their food has always been good.) It seems they've just continued to improve the quality and portion size of their entrees since I last ordered. It's obvious Spanky Burger and all it's employees are striving to serve the very best in a time when it's got to be incredibly difficult just to keep the business afloat. I applaud them and encourage other absent Spanky Burger customers to order up some food. I know things are tight but this pandemic won't last forever and we want are restaurants to still be there for us when it's over.
PS: Also, consider leaving a fat tip waiting for your Uber driver when he/she/they drops off the food. I know mine was very appreciative of the support.
Previous Review: I've been ordering (UberEats) the Bacon Cheese burger/fries from these guys at least once a month for about a year now. It shows up quickly, warm, and tasty. I ALWAYS look forward to the treat. I don't know what happened tonight but the food showed up barely warm, soggy, and poorly prepared. What a disappointment! I guess we all have our off days but if I'd been served it this way in the restaurant, I'd have turned it back.
Thank you, Shawn, for your considered response. I believe I gave an honest and overall well balanced review of my experience with your restaurant, not simply a complaint. The cold temperature of the food might be explained by a dawdling Uber driver but the poor preparation of the food certainly is not. And this is not the first time food has arrived in this condition. While I appreciate your concern for your review rating, I think it's important to take less favorable reviews to heart. I have raised the rating to a three star given your...
Read moreNever have I eaten at this restaurant, nor do I want too! I went there to pick up an order for Door Dash, and after the treatment I received, it's a wonder they are still open! I understand that the dine-in is still closed, but when I waited outside for 10 minutes n no one came out, I took a step inside the door to try to get help. Before I could finish my sentence of, "Hi. I have a door dash order." She was rudely telling me to get out, the dine-in restaurant is closed. And I quote, "if you see a sign that says wait outside, and there's people outside. Don't you think that's where you need to be?" As I was walking out the door, I was trying to explain that I am being timed and I had been waiting outside for awhile n I just needed to see if my order was ready. She was ushering me out the door, telling me how QUOTE "If i don't like the way they run the restaurant, then not to come back" then she proceeded to get the order and hand it to me, and stand there and belittle me IF FRONT OF ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS, telling me that I needed to have a better attitude and if didn't like it not to come back, but she wouldn't release the bag when handing it to me. As I'm trying to take the order THE SHE IS HANDING ME, she won't let go!!! She's still going on and on!!! I finally took the order so I could go deliver it (as I was already late) and as I'm walking away She's hollering across the street at me, telling me not to come back!!!
Honestly, all I was trying to do was see if my order was ready...
Read moreOur first visit a week ago Sunday was awesome! The owner was there & definitely ran a tight ship. The food & service was awesome! Huge portions, great burgers & onion rings! we were super excited to bring our kids the following Sunday. Sadly our experience was NOT the same! The owner wasn't there & it made a huge impact. There was one gal at the register who was very friendly. The rest of the crew seemed indifferent. When the gal with the pink hair delivered our food, she didn't smile or ask if we needed anything. She forgot our fry sauce we were charged for so I went to the counter to retrieve it. The food was ok... the buffalo chicken sandwich was soggy & the chicken tasted & felt a little underdone.... The onion rings were soggy with oil... The kids bacon cheese burgers were ok. One of my kids requested no onions but it came with it. No biggie, but why ask? We got the kids cones after their lunch & my husband tipped big time on the food order before the desert, then returned for the cones & paid cash for two cones & told them to keep the $2 change. Then when we left no one said a word to us.... Wow! kinda left us feeling unwelcome. In an industry where there is a lot of sub par places to eat, it only takes a minute to make your guest feel great. To do your best to ensure people; come back & spread the word. We own a business & word of mouth is our greatest form of advertising. Hope that the owner reads this & coaches his team...
