The first thing I noticed walking in is how much open space there is. Your average gaming store is packed with product and this place isn't. It gives the place room to breathe but also told me that odds were, unless it was very popular, I wasn't going to find what I was looking for here. And I was right.

There's a fair amount of core products (core rulebooks, base games) but little to be found for supplemental content for those core products unless, again, it's a very popular game.

My adult daughter and I went on the hunt for a place to get out of the ordinary games for our wintertime family game nights that would accommodate the various ages of our family members and were quite excited to find Tacoma Games. We took the kids with us and headed over for a short drive to the shop and were very pleased that we took the time! The owners are much like ourselves and enjoy a large variety of game play and were attentive to us. They helped us select a few games and we have had a great time learning them. A friend told me about this store, and so I went with my boyfriend. I was immediately in love with the store and the owners, Lorian and Carl, know every thing there is to know about games! They are more than willing to spend time with you to get to know you, and find a game that you will love. If they do not have a game on hand, they will order one for you. If you want to play test a game, they generally have one, or they will open one. It is extremely family friendly, and I have found myself sepending several hours there playing games.
