Starbucks — Restaurant in Tacoma

I don’t usually go to Starbucks, and I’m definitely not a regular coffee drinker. But today I stopped by the Proctor location craving something sweet, and I’m so glad I did. I told the barista, Maddie T, that I love cold foam and sweeter drinks, and that back when I used to drink coffee, I was completely hooked on caramel frappes. Maddie really took the time to listen and understand what I liked, and then crafted the PERFECT drink for me.

No exaggeration—it tastes exactly like a liquid bananas foster. It’s refreshing and light, not overly sweet, but still has that rich, dessert-like flavor that makes it feel like a treat. It was so good I literally bought two because one just wasn’t enough.

Also, big shout-out to Alexis, who recommended the bacon egg Gouda sandwich to pair with it. She was spot-on—it’s easy to see why that’s one of the most popular items. Between Maddie’s creativity and Alexis’s suggestion, I had one of the best Starbucks experiences...

This is literally the worst Starbucks if you are having bad day, and thought you would get a pick me up from THIS Starbucks specifically your day will only get worse EVERY. TIME. I can count 7 times I remember (the last 7 times) it was horrible. Some not all but most of their staff is so incredibly rude (if you hate your job quit.) they ALWAYS make your drink wrong and then have an attitude. And I’m not exaggerating I took my drink to my table realized it was wrong and the girl served it as samples and made me a new one, like ma’am that drink left your sight and you gave it to customers ?!?! I'm not sure if it's because of ethnicity or because they are just simply rude. Alexis and Maddie allowed me to wait way longer than I should have to order so they could proceed with a meaningless conversation with someone who already had their order. After allowing me stand for quite a while, I sat and waited and even then still continued to the conversation as if I simply didn't exist. When the conversation was over neither one of them asked if I needed anything help or wanted to order. As the other customers walked in that were caucasian greeted immediately and had their orders taken with no wait.
