Bahn Mi in Proctor! This growing Seattle delight has made its way to T-Town. The restaurant has a very small dining space, one long shared table for diners plus window facing bar seating. Not much room for diners and people awaiting to-go orders. Nicely decorated though, simple and modern. Located in the heart of Proctor, the restaurant doesn't have a street facing entrance. It faces a small parking lot, co-shared with the neighboring vendors. Plenty of close street parking most days but don't be surprised if you need to walk a block or more on the weekend. We enjoyed the meatball and pork bahn mi sandwiches. They were delightful; crunchy, fresh, all over the taste spectrum. Spicy, savory, and a little sweet too. Rivals similar sandwiches I've had in the Emerald City. A little light on the meat side (even with the added egg), but double meat is an option too. My kids, who have a good food vocabulary, were completely happy with a mouth full of vegetables in every bite. We also shared a strawberry cheesecake drink, more yogurty dessert than liquid drink. Very good but very sweet. Recommend sharing it. All said, we'll be back again. Great pop in and out spot for those wanting a change of pace in your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've worked here for the last 7 months and I am happy to have had the opportunity. The best thing about my time here was how easy it was to get along with my coworkers, especially my bosses. They worked with me nearly everyday and showed me that they were not too good to make sandwiches alongside us. They were not 100% corporate bosses who run the show without ever having stepped into the store.
Not only did they set a good example for work ethic, but many conversations throughout the day consisted of financial intelligence, life advice, and even learning Vietnamese. I appreciate the role models they were for me, and hopefully, my coworkers. They weren't just running a successful business, they were helping young women and men navigate life. And for that, they have made a lifelong customer of me - as well as a friend. I wish them the best of luck as we part ways, hopefully they stick to their roots as it would be sad to visit in the future and not have that environment I experienced while working.
I may be rambling but if you need a food review, the banh mi is amazing. It will not disappoint. It is perfectly baked, has a great savory-sweet balance, and will set a new standard for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest sandwich and rice bowl in Pierce county. I drive 30mins to come. Iām picky and I donāt like a lot of Vietnamese or Chinese spots in Tacoma, this one is a hidden gem. And let me explain I freakin love Vietnamese food. But I like authentic places! Great food, not just good food. Their bread is homemade, there meat is flavored and not grisely. There seasonings are special and their house made homemade sauce is delicious and unique. And the best dessert drink is their strawberry cream cheese smoothie. Omg, so satisfying itās like a real strawberry cheesecake smoothie. Their menu is smaller and more refined because their ingredients are house-made, fresh and special. I donāt normally leave reviews but I have to. Please at least try and trust the reviews, everyone loves this place!...
