We're used to getting the wrong food here; we've literally never received sour cream whenever we order supreme tacos. They've also always been bad about giving receipts. Nonetheless we've always tolerated and accepted it as standard, rarely asking for corrections and never a refund... until tonight.
Tonight, our entire order was wrong. We went back to the restaurant (the food was still completely untouched, mind you) and asked for a refund. The manager refused. Not because we didn't have a receipt because they didn't give us one, but because they're not allowed to? Manager refused to give us a corporate number to call, saying they're not part of corporate (even though you can still contact corporate about issues at franchise locations). Then they refused to give us a phone number for the local proprietor or general manager. They insisted we'd need to come back a different day and speak to the GM... in person... during covid. Then they tried finding our receipt, but after waiting a while for them to find the receipt, a line of of delivery drivers was piling up, so we decided we'd dispute the charge with our bank instead of waste everyone's time. Just to be sure, we asked the manager to show us where "No refunds" was posted, but as it isn't posted they couldn't. The manager had offered to remake the order, but as this is the countless time this location has messed up our order, we were no longer interested in a replacement and wanted a refund, which was refused.
On top of all this, the interior of the restaurant, including the line, were extremely dirty. I've worked in many kitchens from fast food to fine dining and can say for certain it was unacceptably dirty.
We then headed to another Taco Bell (unsure if it's the same franchise owner, a different one or corporate), but they completed our order successfully and told us that they'd never heard of any no refund rule or policy--and their kitchen and...
Read moreI go thru the 38th St Taco Bell about two or three times a week spending anywhere from $20 to $40 I get two cantina chicken tacos chips and cheese and a side of cantina chicken I asked the tall skinny guy in the window with glasses if I could get an extra cup that the cantina chicken came here so I could split it with my 5 year old daughter and he said well we don't have one and asked the guy in the back room I'm assuming the cook for a bowl finally then the guy in the back doesn't want to making a big deal about it then finally hands the guy a big tray looking thing and tell the skinny guy here just get me out of there in the absolutely mos rudest disrespectful way he possibly could and the skinny guy hands me the bag with the most dirtiest look on his face like I was asking for so much they just definitely lost my business the people they got working in there don't want to do anything without making a big deal about the smallest things like it isn't their job but if you want disrespectful people cooking you're food and then get it handed to you by a guy with the most dirtiest look on his face then yeah go to 38th st Taco Bell at night there pretty great at that but if not then just stay clear of the 38th st disrespect and rude taco bell I'd rate Minus * by far in...
Read moreWorse experience ever. The communication amoung the kids who work here is horrible. I ordered a decent amount of food and spent my hard earned American dollars here and half of the food was cold or missing. I called several times about the order and spoke with someone and they were communicating with some “manager” who stated I should come in when I got a chance and they would replace the order. Great, right?!...No. I send my husband right back to the establishment and they don’t honor their word. They give him half the order once again and not even the stuff I complained about 😠 So he gets back and says this is what they gave me. Like really? I call again and they say I’m sorry we are really busy can you call back later? If I wasn’t feeding many teenagers at that time I wouldn’t have had a problem, but I spent a great deal of money and had to get the kids different food which equals more money. This place is just really backwards and needs better supervision especially on a Friday night. I will not spend anymore of my money here and I will definitely let my friends and family know about this experience. If I want Taco Bell I will drive all the way across town to avoid this place...
