This is a great hidden gem with good vibes and ambiance, just a little off the beaten path of 38th Street chain restaurants. Great customer service and we had one of the most incredible fresh Jalapeño Margarita's on our second visit, thanks to our wonderful waitress who accommodated our request. We shared a steak fajitas and a chille relleno. Food is good, haven't had anything too spectacular yet but we're going to keep trying. On my prior visit we tried their Morena specialty the 'Pina Rellena de Camaron'. I have had similar dishes before and loved them. This one was just DROWNED in queso. Toooooo much cheese. I scoped it out and let it sit on the plate (about 2 cups full, no joke) and yet the pineapple, veggies, and shrimp were seasoned and spectacular. I might attempt it again with no or little queso. That being the case, it's still nice to see not your average American offerings although each time I've gone they are out of each of their soups. I'll...
Read moreI am shocked by the number of good reviews of this place. The only positive thing I can say is the waitress was kind. Otherwise, it is all negatives. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, guacamole, and a carne asada burrito. The quesadilla first came out with cheese only. This was corrected, but when we tasted it, it was the most bland food item I’ve tasted in a long time. The chicken was definitely taken from a Fred Meyer rotisserie chicken… The sour cream was clearly watered down too. The burrito was even worse. Absolutely no flavor at all. The food was just a waste of calories. Not to mention, both items were $15+. The guacamole was $12 and was barely larger than a shot glass. Also, watery. Even the water tasted bad, like it came from the melted ice of a cooler. There are some places that should just not stay in business and this is certainly one of them. Please do not make our mistake and go literally...
Read moreCame here tonight for an event. I want to start by saying Hugo is amazing, great bartender and impeccable customer service. The 2 stars is for the other problems with pricing. I got 2 drinks when I came in, the first time I was charged $49, when I looked at my aunt's receipt for the same drink it was &15 so what drink cost $30. The woman ringing me up said she would fix it and then charged me $69 smh. So, she then fixed it again and charged $15 all of these charges will take 5-10 business days to return to my mother's account. I was willing to let this go but then I bought a beer, I was told $7 and then charged $7.50 at that point I was done. They could have had tons of business for private parties but multiple people had the same issue with fluctuating pricing. Hugo was very cool and not my bartender for these two...
